Why the Gophers will get a premiere NYD Bowl Game or Semi-Final appearance: I will be traveling over the new year and unable to attend any bowl games, likely ensuring the Gophers get their once in a lifetime opportunity.
Bucky Irving entering the transfer portal is too bad. He had a bright future with the Gophers.
That being said, Zach Evans sure does look like a keeper. So long Bucky, Hello Zach. Can't wait. :dup: Row The Boat. :dup:

Every year Nebraska is picked WAY too high.
FPI calculations include recruiting rankings and coach tenure....
Don't think there is a former players thing for football but this isn't great

I read on Andries' Twitter account that he's passed 2 Actuarial Exams. I took one of them, all Calculus, in college (when I had delusions of wanting to be an Actuary) and it's by far the hardest test I've ever taken. I passed it but never took another after that.
He's one really smart guy
Spring game moved indoors and closed to the public. Super bummed. We were making a day of it.
Has a reason been given why it is closed to the public? I thought the spring game was a way for promote the team in the off season.
My question gets answer with this information.

Weather. And indoor facility is too small to allow open attendance. Too bad for everyone, including players and team. It means 3 of 4 years there is no game or crowd for the game:
- 2019 - Moved indoors
- 2020 - Canceled
- 2021 - Limited attendance
- 2022 - Moved indoors
Bucky Irving announced he's going to transfer to Oregon.
I have gone to the Spring Game twice...and honestly I probably won't go again unless there is a compelling reason. I found it rather boring and pointless. Maybe if I had kids but even then I can't imagine kids are very engaged for very long, its a glorified practice.
Bucky going to Oregon backs up what has been rumored that he was shopping for an NIL deal so he can buy his mother a house in a better place to live.

Good luck to him. Looks like he'll have plenty of competition. Seven rb's on the roster with four of them coming in through the transfer portal.

I hope this wish comes true for his mother and him. As fans we have a tendency to talk about players needing to be loyal to the team/school. Players are one injury away from never playing again or having their skills reduced. First and for most players should be looking to improve their and their family's situation. College athletics are big business. Schools, coaches, athletic directors, etc. make millions of dollars because of the players abilities. If they want to make a move to improve their or their families situation I say "Hell yes do it".

We go to get our football fix in the spring. It's fun to support the team.
It's a glorified scrimmage but breaks up winter a bit.
I have a feeling Jaxson might committing soon as well. Total gut though mainly cause he was tweeting from the Spring Game.

Nice looking group at the Maroon-Gold game.
Coach Fleck is kicking it recently!

If he doesn't slow down, their won't be any 3 star recruits for the other schools.
Gopher Hole is a little biased. The Gophers have seven 3 star recruits and zero 4 star recruits.
Clemson has four 4 star recruits and zero 3 star.
Yet MN is ranked 20th in Rivals vs 21 for Clemson because 7x3=21 is greater than 4x4=16.
Ranking recruiting classes is almost as worthless as ranking draft classes right after the draft. Even if you trust the evaluations (which I don't since there is no way anyone has seen all the players) class size matters as much as anything and totally tips the scales. I don't care where we rank as long as Fleck gets the players he feels he needs to be successful.

Their 4 road BTC games are a bit stiff. They've had NU's number quite a bit but I think that team will be improved this year.

Uggh. That’s brutal. Obviously makes you wonder about CTE being an issue. ?
Hearing this is gut punch.

MB III was a human battering ram on the field. That style of play takes a toll on the whole body.
I am sad to read he passed obviously, but equally sad to read he had bad mental health issues.
