Exactly. Michigan is built to win hockey games but not playoff games. With that much skill though they’re obviously more than capable of making a run. It will be interstate to see…
I think there is a little bit of a difference between being built to win playoff games vs being built to win four in a row. I think if the NCAA playoffs were all five or seven game series, teams like Michigan would actually stand a better chance than the one and done.
I wonder if Power coming back will be the ringleader so more decide to stay and give it a go.

Can't wait to see if they take too many TOs in the NCAA final game which will cost them a championship.
I see what you did there. :dup:
Whitelaw commits to Wisconsin, their fourth commit from the 2005 birth year. Starman tweeted as a reply: “Four years from now I’m looking forward to seeing the influx of all of the late bloomer 05’s that wind up on D1 rosters joining the early matriculates. ?#longtermathletedevelopment.”
A small but fair jab at Wisconsin’s recruiting philosophy, in my opinion. Send out a bunch of offers, commit as many 16 y.o. “blue chippers” as possible, and figure it out later, with last year being an outlier of “success” for them from a team performance standpoint.

Us more " mature" guys got it I'm sure.
I'm not convinced that the Fab 5 had the "It Factor" needed even if Webber hadn't lost count.

His comment has to do more with having a kid in that age group(who probably hasn't gotten much attention yet) than a specific critique of Wisconsin. But regardless of the reason, his point is correct.
WI just got Whitelaw, MI got Fantilli and UMD has locked in a couple 04s as well. Maybe that puts us as front runner for both Clark and Moore…

Any additional intel or hypotheses on where he’s leaning?

Minnesota, UMD, Wisconsin according to the post above.
Losing Miller and Braccini must mean opening spots for Moore and Henrickson? :ahhh: :ahhh:

There were too many forwards lined up regardless of those two.

True. I believe if we want to keep Strobel, Warner and Mittelstadt they would all have to come in next year and we likely only lose 3 maybe 4 forwards and got Snuggerud, Cruz Lucius and Pinoniemi for sure coming in.
Taking a couple out of the pipeline will help for future years too. If you jam extra forwards into one year, you create a logjam in future years too. Still lots of forwards lined up either way.
If you get a player like Moore, they will find space.
Don’t potentially we have Chesley coming in next year as well? I thought I heard he accelerated. Or am I mistaken?

He's coming. He's a senior he didn't need to accelerate. He's a D though so not relevant to logjam posts.
Rinzel would the guy that could accelerate, although given he’s pretty raw I don’t see that as being very likely.
They will need bodies on D.
Ethan Elias (USHL via Maple Grove)
Tucker Ness (USHL via Wayzata)

In YHH podcast they said Cal Thomas has visited Gophers, UND, UMD.

Get him and Elias then. HS teammates. Especially if Williams or Mittelstadt don't end up here
Or flip Henry Nelson and commit his little bro…
In all seriousness, I think it’s still likely Luke M comes in.
Even so I think they still need at least two D for next year.
Brinkman, Denman, Johnson, Faber, Lacombe likely gone after this year. Only Chesley and Mittelstadt slotted to come in we’ll need some bodies for sure

Rud and Williams could come in.
That's why I think they need at least two more cuz I think one of Mitt/Williams will go elsewhere.

I think we get a least one, maybe two, of them back. Bob is building a culture that gets an unexpected extra year from guys. Unless they win the title then all bets are off.

Lacombe the most likely. I don't think we'll see guys use the 5th year and cause recruit logjams, so Brinkman and Denman out. Faber is remarkable and if he keeps progressing at this rate he'll go.
Johnson is a first rounder. That's the only reason I see him going but it's pretty likely.
Yeah I assume Johnson and Lacombe will be gone for sure. Faber wouldn’t surprise me though maybe he’ll play a third year here, I only see him potentially staying because he’s younger but he’s just as good as the other two if not better.
Faber is way better than both of them overall
He’s not way better lol.
Faber is the best player on the team if you ask me
Correct
Ethan Elias to UST!
Ethan Elias to UST!
5”8 d man but a lot of skill good get for them
I thought Eric Pohlkamp would have committed somewhere by now.
Would think an Oliver Moore decision is any day now also.
YHH thinks Oliver Moore is deciding between us, Notre Dame and Michigan.

Maybe he's not good enough for Michigan so we'll be in luck!
Moore is represented by CAA, as most the Michigan kids are.....Brisson's dad driving them all to Michigan.

Man you’re insufferable.

PHIL
Congrats to Phil! But why does he dress like the guy that never left your small hometown, works at the local car dealership, scoffs at the idea of you paying for college and hits on girls who are 10 years younger than him

Maybe he dresses however he wants to dress and doesn't care about other peoples' opinions, which is the best way to live.
If I had not seen Phil's name mentioned I would have guessed Meatsauce got a new squeeze.
Been saying this for months but Oliver Moore should be our number one target on the recruiting front right now. He’s been absolutely tearing it up with the NTDP.
Assuming Hendrickson received an offer I’d assume it would be a pretty easy decision, you never know though.

Same. Glad I wasn’t the only one haha. Now I can’t unsee them as each other

I think Hendrickson is only a sophomore so not eligible for an offer yet.
Will Smith recently decomitted from Northeastern. Another top guy on the u-17 team
Crazy how many NTDP kids are uncommitted. Cool to see compared to a couple of years ago when they were all committed prior to making the team.
Will Smith seems destined for BC. Have the gophers ever had a Mass kid? I can't think of any, most of them seem to stay east.
Yep everything i have read says BC

Top 3 scorers in Smith, Oliver Moore, and Gabe Perreault all uncommitted
How old is Oliver Moore?
