I know Eiserman is a '24 draft kid, but is the plan for him to come in next year? If it isn't, they might want to start trying to make it happen
Eiserman is unbelievable

He is only 16 now, and would turn 17 in August. Let him play on the U18 team next year. We can wait.

Let him develop in his u18 year. He will be unbelievable in Dinkytown.

If you wait until after he's drafted, there's a decent chance that you never see him

Cooley made it here.

While Cooley is very talented, I think he is at least another year away from the NHL. He should return to Minnesota next year. He most likely will not and his opinion is all that matters.
Cooley's "problem" right now is he doesn't get shots on goal. Sometimes it is because he is trying to make too fancy of plays. The other problem is when he does shoot he misses.
Is there even an option to bringing Eiserman in early?
He would have to accelerate his academics but I don’t think it’ll happen nor should it. When was the last player to skip the u18 year? Has it ever happened?
None I can recall. Almost always players like Snuggerud who want to avoid a USHL year after the NTDP.

1. He would have to accelerate to graduate from high school first, and I don't know if that is his plan.
2. He would be only 17 when he steps foot on campus as he turns 17 on August 29th.
I know he may be a one of a kind player, but it is rare for a 17 year old to make the transition to college hockey. As much as I would love to add talent to the roster next year, I think it would be best for him to play a year with the U18 team.

Hey now, Brinkman made the transition?

Power, Beniers, Johnson, Holloway, Tkachuk, Q. Hughes, Poehling, Oettinger, Matthews, Kunin, McAvoy, Eichel, Hanifin, Werenski That's just going back to the 15 draft

These guys didn't skip their U-18 year with the NTDP. They just accelerated to avoid year if juniors. Birth year crucial.

They all played their draft year in the NCAA. Birth year means very little in hockey
Right. Just looking at the reason they accelerated.
Maybe Eiserman can get his buddy Hagens to follow him to Minnesota.

They all played their draft year in the NCAA. Next year will be Eiserman's draft year. Don't really get where you guys keep getting "U18 year" from. It's meaningless
We are referring to NTDP U-18's; not age. Notable those guys played two years at the NTDP before college. Eiserman would be a different case.

Ok, Now I think I'm following.
Yea just different terminology. You're right that players play in college prior to their draft year frequently; would be outside the norm if Eiserman jumped given his age and this being his first year in the program but crazier things have happened.

If a player isn't a top six or top four USNTPD guy, then I do wonder if those USNTDP U18 grads shouldn't get that extra USHL year in that top role before going to college. I get the sense that most of them want to go right to college and it's very rare to play that extra year, but certainly seems like it should be considered more often than it has been over the years.
The NTDP does a remarkable job developing players. Also remember that the U18’s play 24ish games of college hockey so they’re coming in already a little seasoned

I was going on the assumption GE was reacting to the signings.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Yep, just excited about this class.

Only signees that remain are Clark and Pichora. Pichora has had a weird juniors career. Has only played 2 games this year. Clark I could see maybe being pushed back a year but I doubt it.
Pichora should never play here. I think Clark is pretty overrated, so hopefully they can push him a year at least.
Another night, another Eiser an goal.

Clark does not show up on Edina’s announced roster meaning he’ll play the whole year in Green Bay. Likely a move that’ll try to get him on campus next fall. His game has been picking up lately. Scored last night.

Since he didn't sign his NLI right away, I wouldn't assume anything. I'm sure Clark would like to be on campus next year, but hold your betting slips for a bit.

Brady Yakesh with two assists. He’s been picking up ever since the trade to Madison. Rud with one assist. J Moore with a goal for Minnetonka in their opener.
Moore and Townsend are the only Gophers in the high school circuit this year although there are plenty “potential future recruits” to keep an eye on.
Moore with a goal in the first couple of minutes today vs BU. U18 up 4-1 after 1.
