An in correct whistle by the ref on the save by Chesley results in a face off in our zone rather than Chesley having the puck with 3.4 seconds left in the period. Off the face off the Bulldogs score.
I was predicting that tonight would be a low-scoring game like 1-0 or 2-1 plus a possible ENG, but even though that now means we win, I hope I'm wrong and we keep the foot on the gas. And stay out of the box.

They have been brutal. then they whistle on the no goal when Chesley has full control of the puck. Terrible. That is awful
Need to win those face-offs. The goalie needs to make that save.

This team's breakout this year is unlike anything I've seen from a gopher team in a very long time.
I don't know if it's UM being THAT fast or tUMD being that slow, but the difference is very noticeable.

I think ref lost sight of puck and thought souliere still had it. He didn’t signal goal

One thing I noticed last night during warm-ups. UMD has these black plastic guards on the lower part of the bar on the nets. They are for protecting the goalie skates during warm-ups. I’ve never seen it before… Is it a newer thing?

it’s been noticeable. With how dominant this team is in possession, draws are extremely important and glad to see it look better tonight
Really started imposing their will for a few stretches in that period.

Some of the uncharacteristic turnovers by UMD just inside their own blue line would make players from their 2015-2020 teams either laugh hysterically or hurl on the ice. This Gopher team is a WAGON no doubt, but you can’t commit those types of dumb turnovers against any team, let alone the Gophers. Dominic James (Captain) has to play a lot better too, he’s been the weak link on their power play, Gallatin, Shaugabay, Plante & Pionk have all looked solid while James either fans on one time set ups or fired them wide enough that they leave the offensive zone. That doesn’t come close to getting it done from your Captain.
Wood, Clark, Kurth is a fun line to watch. Just scoring chances and driving the net. Mix of speed and brawn. Love them
With those three guys playing so well together it allows Snuggy & Lamb to play together and Moore & Ziemer to play together which is creating three dynamic lines with a 4th line that is solid of Huglen with Nevers.
Pahlsson is doing a good job centering Snuggy & Lamb and Hendrickson has definitely been noticeable in a positive way playing with Moore & Ziemer.

I was talking about that with my wife today. When it is hard to say who is the 1st, 2nd or 3rd line, AND Huglen/Nevers is on your "4th" line, that is a deep team haha. Ziemer and Pahlsson have been very good so far,
