Badgers might wanna cover 81
People wanted to see how the Gophers would react to being challenged.
The Badgers got us down 2-0 and the Gophers have responded well.

I’ll feel better after we get a few even strength goals.
btw make sure you stream the radio broadcast and sync it with the video stream! Wally is sooooo much better!
The Sue are up 5-0 over the Bulldogs in Duluth. Hopefully our game is serving as enough of a distraction for the resident Bulldog fan. 😉
End of 2, tied at 2.

Can’t say that was much better than the first lol but a few gifts from Bucky and we’re back in it.
All comes down to the 3rd. My moneys on Wisco just from what I’ve seen tonight but would love to be proven wrong.
Wally is a no brainer for me and Mick is holding his own on the color commentary in place of Frank. Let's go Gophers!!!
Pahlsson (3-11) and Clark (1-9) have struggled in the face off dot tonight.

Dat U Clem?
Jimmy or Mittelstadt gets the winning goal. Got to give myself four chances. 😉
Although neither of the Mittelstadts has a goal this season so maybe they don't increase my chances. 😀 But what a great spot to get their first goal.
Snuggerud 3-2.

I kid you not seconds after the above post Snuggy!!!!!! scores (scouts honor)
Badgers might wanna cover 81
He’s probably listening to the game on the radio.
Keep your stick on the ice...
Last three games
Snuggy two goals
Snuggy DQ
Snuggy two goals
I prefer when Snuggy doesn't get kicked out of the game.
Lamb hits the post on the empty net.
This team and hitting an EN really not helping my heart health
Game over, Gophs win 3-2.

0.6 seconds left.
Does Holl score?
I can’t believe we only scored 3 times on a Grandma
Great win! Beautiful pass by Pahlsson, happy for Snuggy. Sweep tomorrow!

Elevated heat rate burns calories if you don't die. 😉
well that one wasn't pretty, but a win is a win is a win. looked like WI emptied the tank and we got stronger. hopefully carries over to tomorrow
Are people still worried about Nathan Airey?
He has played well.
Great win! Beautiful pass by Pahlsson, happy for Snuggy. Sweep tomorrow!
Pahlsson did everything right on that play. He cut across the middle to open ice and had the goalie (and the Kohl Center) thinking a shot was coming. Instead, he threw a hard diagonal pass to the side of the net and Snuggy scored (on a grandma 👵 ...eeeek).
Great vision by Pahlsson. He's coming along nicely.

I would like to see John Mittelstadt get a goal before long. I'm sure he understands his role and being the only forward who hasn't found the twine yet doesn't really bother him, but he's more than earned the boost of self-confidence that would come with scoring.

A win is a win. Gritted it out, hopefully improve on our flaws (cough PP cough).
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
The Gopher power play was 1 for 4 tonight with 11 shots on goal.
With the snipers we have getting that many power play shots on goal it is only a matter of time before the red light is on.
The Gopher power play is going to give people a lot of problems this season.
The three biggest problems the Gophers had tonight accordingly to what coach said after the game.
Face offs, turnovers at the offensive blue line and losing too many board battles in the offensive zone.
Something to be said about finding ways to WIN games. Good habit to have.
Glad I saw the score before jumping into this thread.
btw the PxP guy sure loves the phrase, "And just like that" and used it at least twice in situations that really didn't qualify.
@slap-shot I really had a hard time telling if they’d ever watched hockey but then remembered they’d been subjected to watching the badgers and that told me all I needed to know
I think he’s been secretly watching Sex in the City: And Just Like That 🤣. It’s exhorted an influence.Glad I saw the score before jumping into this thread.

Note: Due to inflation dirty deeds will no longer be done dirt cheap.
That’s three games in a row where we looked like the slower team most of the time. Maybe we are just not that fast this year? We didn’t win many puck battles in the first period, yet somehow it seemed like Becky was getting tired in the third. Need to find our aggressiveness tonight to not let them into the game.
Respectfully disagree, these last 3 games they’ve had to grind out wins, rely on strong goaltending & persevere. You’re not going to be able to boat race good teams & some nights you don’t have your A game so you need to learn how to win with your B game. Can they play better tonight and make the sweep more comfortable, sure, but winning the last 3 games the way they did builds confidence for the players & coaches, especially rallying from 0-2 to win 3-2 on the road. That’s three games in a row where we looked like the slower team most of the time. I would agree that we might have looked slow for the first half of the game last night but this is not a slow team. I think Wisc just came out with more fire and puck drive. No way of knowing what would have happened if they hadn't spent half the 2nd in the box but I still think the Gophers would have come to life. Showing that they can win these games where they are not outplaying the opponent for long stretches is a positive. When they run into a stronger team they cannot let themselves get down by 2 early with preventable mistakes and lost battles in both ends. The face off issue needs to be addressed obviously.
The face offs for the Snuggerud line were horribad. It’s amazing they scored two goals when they never win the face off. I wonder if either were scored after a face off or if they jumped into play on the fly.
Just my 2 cents and I’m done. Grateful for getting to watch on big+ it’s a little amateur footage at times with everything and reminds me of watching a squirt game on live barn but it is what it is now. Just need to figure out how to do that with syncing gopher radio broadcast with the video. Still love just getting to watch any which way.
That was a grinder road win against not just a conference opponent but a heated rival who is better than its record. I'll take it.
The Badgers played like they needed to win a big game against a highly ranked team. Minnesota did the rope-a-dope before unleashing their will in the third. Playing even for 2 periods and counting on everything going your way in the third isn’t exactly a formula for winning, but it worked last night.
My hope for tonight is they come out and play three hard periods. If they do, they'll win.

Go to Gophersports.com and use the audio link. It was just seconds ahead of the big ten stream so we needed to pause briefly. Of course you need a second device to run the audio but that worked great for us!
Watched the game this morning as I was finishing up my tillage last night. I listened to the radio broadcast on a AM station out of Worthington last night. A win in a win. I know Bob changed up his lines a bit during the game, and I wonder if he will do that today. Also, for those of you that didn't want Whipple in this year. I am sure glad he is on the roster with the injury to Thomas.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
