Matthew Wood's rookie lap. If you listen closely, you can hear Nashville play some of his Gopher goal calls in the background.

Chaz Lucius retires. Diagnosed with EDS.
All the drama aside, that just sucks.
I am the official Iowa Hawkeye football fan of GPL!

real sad to hear. Bummer for him but the injuries would’ve stacked up so glad it was found now so he can act on it for his long term health

For those not medically inclined, EDS = Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
It is a disorder of connective tissue, which often causes hyper flexible joints, being prone to being injured more easily and more stretchy skin. Definitely not something conducive to playing a sport where strength and stability are important.
That does stink. Wonder if they’ll check the younger one.
Chaz's situation is what makes the gophers hockey alumni group so important. I hope that group reaches out to Chaz and helps him out in any way possible.
I would bet that Chaz will end up working for the family business and will likely have no connections to the alumni. I get the impression that mom and pop don’t have any desire to be connected to the hockey program anymore and in that family, what mom and dad say goes.
And Chaz will never be hurting for money.

It's not necessarily about money but emotional support since he lost what has defined him. Hockey has been his life since he was 4 or 5 and now it's gone and losing this could have a negative impact on him. Others, when done with hockey, have ended up down a dark path. Whether it's former teammates and/or friends from MN, wi, or wherever he's played I hope these guys help as they can. Best of luck to him, it's a sad story.

Knies with the OT winner to complete the hat-trick
Knies has 29 goals this season. For comparison his teammate named Auston Matthews has 30 goals this season.

I can confirm you are correct. There was never any loyalty to anything other than dad’s desire to see his kids in the nhl
