Leddy has carved out a really solid NHL career. To be honest, I really didn't follow him that closely since he was a 1 and done here and played for some of the teams I really don't care about-- Chicago, Islanders, Red Wings and Blues. Erik Johnson could be the next one to 1,000 as he is 25 games short. But, he may retire after this year. Bjugstad, Haula and Schmidt are in the mid 600's.

On a positive note, Ryan Lindgren racked up 3pts today against Arizona (1G, 2A)
Prior to tonight he had 1 pt in his last 4 games & now has 16 pts (3G, 13A) on the season.

You know you are in big time hockey when they misspell Wichita.
But great job Jonny.
Nelson signs an ELC with the Bruins. Good for him. Hurts to call him a former player 😢

Congrats Jaxon! Was the heart and soul of this team for the last month and a half. Very well deserved.
Definition of earning a contract with your play on the ice. Congratulations Jaxon!
One year ELC is really interesting for Nelly. Looks like a tryout for Providence (their AHL affiliate). Sounds like he had quite a bit of interest

Congrats to Nelson. He will bring a lunch pail attitude to the Bruins & fit right in.

I follow quite a few current and former Gophers on instagram and it is cool to see them posting about the Farm Kids signing. Both Knies and Cooley were a couple of the past Gophers that posted about it. Good Luck Jaxon...

@j22 Rem has been on fire since being sent to Rockford. 25 points in 19 games and +9.

Now I finally have a reason to go to a Providence Bruins game. I don't live far from there these days.
So I just took a gander at the schedule. Unfortunately all the remaining games conflict with my odd work schedule. Well... Maybe the postseason. I'd like to root on Jaxson playing for them.
#16 for Novak

An article about the Lindgren matchup--
After Washington goalie Charlie Lindgren, Ryan’s older brother, stopped 27 of 28 shots Tuesday night against the Flyers, securing his third win in four days and clinching an unlikely playoff berth for the Capitals, Ryan sent him a text.
“Hey, congrats,” he wrote. “Talk to you after the first round.”
The text was typical Ryan Lindgren: short and to the point, with an undercurrent of intensity.

Team Gopher Lindgren over here.
Been watching IIHF Worlds. Disappointed to see no Gophers represented on the roster. Have to think we’ll see Cooley, Faber, Lacombe, and Knies at some point one of these years.
Laffer has had a pretty good year in the ECHL. He was 16-3-1 in the regular season and is 6-1 with a .956 SV% and 1.63 GAA in the playoffs so far.

Well, that'd be a good reason to leave NMU. Head Coach of an AHL team is a solid step up.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

As mentioned somewhere else on here previously, he is failing upwards. Crazy.
Maybe? The question is, where was his failing in the college ranks? As a hockey coach? Or as a recruiter?Well, that'd be a good reason to leave NMU. Head Coach of an AHL team is a solid step up.

In the college ranks, the two are completely intertwined, and you need some degree of both to be successful. At the AHL level, the GM is doing the "recruiting" part, so that frees him up to focus on coaching. Maybe that's where his skill is.

Cooley and Faber on all rookie team.

While I fully expected Bedard to win, it is still a little disappointing. Faber averaged over 25 mpg compared to Bedard at 20. He was on the #1 defensive pairing; the #1 PK and PP, and still managed to land at a -1 (compared to Bedard at -44), which in his case is pretty incredible since he is always on the ice against the opponent #1 line.
I get the Hawks are a crummy team, which is reflected in his +/- and that he missed 14 games so his goal numbers could have been even more gaudy. I think it shows that the NHL will always care more about goal scoring and flash than defense. And apparently to win one of the big awards this year, your name needed to be Connor!
Louie will not be pleased..

>> Look for negotiations to begin Monday for a $64 million, eight-year guaranteed contract for Wild defenseman Brock Faber, 21, the former Gopher who last week finished second in Calder Memorial Trophy (NHL rookie of the year) voting.
Aloha!
As expected...
