Why does a team with players as skilled as the Gophers have…utterly SUCK in shootouts? It’s very puzzling. Don’t they work on this…like at the end of practices? Weird how they literally never score even one goal.Game over, 1-1 OTT. Wisco wins the shootout.
Gophers get a Pairwise series win with a OT win and a tie. Pairwise doesn't count shoot outs.
Coach just said that was the Best Gopher game in his 6 years as coach here.

They work on it practice. It is in their head now. When they finally win one they will start getting their share of shoot out wins.

Nelson Nevers and Brodzinski line brought it tonight. Need that going forward.
It is sickening that these guys are officiating DIV 1 hockey. Selective penalty calling and unconscionable goals that were waved off. Like someone had posted earlier, why wouldn’t you just check people into your own goalie if you know the goal will get waved? It’s now starting to look like the correct play in that circumstance. I’m all fired up!

Its insane to me that people think they lose shootouts because they don't practice them. Like Guys who have played hockey for 15-20 years don't know what to do because they don't do a shootout at the end of practice like you do when you coached your son's mite team.

My question about the second waved goal is, the goalie clearly reestablished himself in the net and was ready for the shot. Even if they think there was interference prior, he was ready. why didn’t it count?
How long does he need to stand there before they will allow the Gophers to score? Or were they only going to allow Wisconsin to score but blow off any Gophers attempt?
