Could be another parking nightmare on Friday evening. Sounds like along with the Gopher Hockey game, there is also Men's Basketball, Volleyball and Swimming going on.

Must have not read this thread closely since it was mentioned last night.

We are in the house for “arena hockey”!
The on campus digital signs warn traffic of delays due to “arena hockey”.
PSU has 3 shots already. Sounds about right.
Make that 4 shots and a goal. Poop.
PSU is dominating possession and seems to have 2-3 players on the puck at all times somehow.
At the first media timeout, we look not great. Passing is off, can’t maintain control of the puck, turnovers.
This is rough. Passes are off, half of the team decided to become a turn over machine and they look like they’re skating in mud. We’re lucky it’s only 1-0. They also need to take a page out of Penn State’s book and start shooting. All around lethargic.
Tv?
Brodzinski ties it at 1-1!!!!!!!!!!
Are the stripes letting PSU play with a little more stick infractions?
Keep your stick on the ice...
Now a frustration slash on Snuggerud.
Keep your stick on the ice...
Brodzinski hits the post. Ugh almost a second for him tonight.
That looked like it was in. Did they do a good replay on TV that showed otherwise?
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
That really sucks. I thought we were much better this period and to end it like that is a real blow.
Two goals for PSU on poor defensive play. Can’t let them chip it to the penalty box and then I don’t know what the hell that was trying to defend the net.
I know they didn't review it, trying to figure out why not. With where I sit, that looked like it was in

They haven’t even shown the replay on tv.
Keep your stick on the ice...
They just showed it was a clear post
So we’ve shown we can clearly play better than these pussycats. Let’s do that in the third, mmmmkay?!

What is the defender supposed to do? If you’re looking for blame the pass to the point (through a PSU player) just as the penalty is about to expire is a good starting point.
The next good decision #2 makes tonight, will be his first
That should be a good goal.

Huglen!!!!!! cuts the lead to 3-2

We need Steve to be the goal judge even if it hits the post turn that goal light on. ?
Stop trying to make highlight reels with the extra pass.
Keep your stick on the ice...
If we lose tonight it won’t be for lack of chances. Shoot! The! Puck!!!
When you get the puck in front of the net, you don’t need to pass it to the other player 2 feet away. You can shot.
Oof. Penn St is legit I guess. We’ll come out and win tomorrow.
Gophers were too cute making the extra pass.
Penn St outworked the Gophers.
IMO PSU was overly aggressive in the defensive zone with sometimes all 5 skaters within 15 ft of the puck in the corners. Gophers did not adapt well. Kept trying to skate out of it or pass to the point. Get the puck to other side of the rink. “Change the field” in soccer terms.
Really, really poor effort tonight. Got beat to the puck most of the game. No checking.

Lacombe shouldn't have been in the zone and Nelson shouldn't have thrown the (off target) pass
PSU is like 8-1. We have to stop thinking they’re bad. They beat MI too. Will probably end up being our kryptonite in the B1G tourney.
And, as I said, if they try to choke the life out of the game, they will choke the life out of is. We have never been able to adapt to that style of play.
I really don’t know what to make of that game. At times the boys were buzzing but boy, at times they were also lost and skating through molasses. Two of the goals were odd man rushes that were just unnecessary and are right in Penn State’s play book. The third was also a bad turnover. Take nothing away from Penn State but we’re much better than that. But overall we were just poor. Poor atmosphere, poor play, poor crowd attendance, poor effort, poor decision making. Poor play in front of the net. Poor turnovers. Just poor. Better come out hot tomorrow night and shoot the f*cking puck!!
A few bright spots, Huglen getting his first goal and Bryce getting another. You could see how jacked the team was for Huglen. Did anyone else notice they put Kurth with Huglen and Pitlick towards the end of game? Do we see both Strobel and J. Mittlestadt tomorrow and someone else scratched? We also need more from 89-92-81.
Maybe PSU is legit. And they beat #1 Michigan last week. Need to tighten up tomorrow.
Faber and LaCombe were really poor tonight. Gave away the game tonight. Will be a tough one tomorrow.
We must have set a record for turnovers tonight.
- Probably the most frustrating game of the season. Absolutely dominant at times then disappear at times. Would love to see an actual 60 out of this team some time
- this team has fallen into the old gopher trap of over passing. This team is too full of scorers to be passing slot shots. If they learn a gritty rebound goal counts the same as a back door tap in, the game will get a lot easier
- Lacombe is so damn talented and then he just has these idiotic moments of being soft on the puck or horribly out of position. He needs to learn to limit those mid to take the final step in his growth
- the Cooley line is probably the most talented line in college hockey this year but ffs they gotta make it count on the score sheet. Probably the toughest game I’ve seen out of snuggy and Cooley tonight and the whole line was victims of “hero” play at times. They’re breathtaking to watch, but they need to be on the scoresheet every night. Know it’s a big ask, but they’re that good compared to their peers (similar to the McDavis-Draisaitl line for Edmonton). This team will go as far as they’ll carry them in the post season
- this team Is so Close to it clicking and I hope they’re building to that something special and these are the growing pains
Too many turnovers. Just a flat game by the Gophers. No postgame radio by Bob. Wally blamed it on poor equipment, I blame it on Bob being really mad. I expect the Gophers to come out on fire tomorrow.

Woof. That was very disappointing. Off nights for a lot of our big guns. I will give Penn State credit, they are good. But the gophers did not play well, so many damn turnovers.

PSU countered our O zone perfect. They kept the wings wide and sent them flying at the point knowing that our wings just ring it to the D.
Silver lining but I appreciate Faber coming out in front of the media after a bad loss and owning it. Owned up to the poor play and didn’t point any fingers. Just said they all need to be better, himself included. Didn’t sugar coat anything. Once again, we see why he’s the captain.
