A must sweep series.
Robert Morris is back after a hiatus. They are 6-13-3 and their roster is made up of a ton of freshmen and grad students.

Play a complete weekend please and let's get a sweep. These next 4 games are essential to get some positive results if they want to give themselves some buffer from the PWR bubble
Yeah you can’t drop one here. Win two and get the vibes right.
Agreed. I would have liked to see a better effort for the full game Sunday in particular, but, a level of effort to lose a close, high scoring game against a team as good as CC should be fine to sweep RMU. BUT, the team cannot just assume they'll win, they need to get out there and play hard.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
It would be nice to give Airey some playing time. This is important in case Close has an injury or another off game later in the season.
Looking forward to a Culvers sweep. I really like the new 4th line combination.
Go Gophers
- Does Bob have the courage to split up the slow motion line this weekend. Line has been bad all year, part of me has hope for Brodzinski If he could get someone with skill and speed on his line. Maybe huglen?

They got buried in their own zone for long extended shifts all weekend. Hopefully Clark moves up at some point. I think that line needs a shuffle.

It's been happening with that line all year. At least once or twice a game they get caught in their zone, can't exit and can't get a line change and leads to some scoring chances for the opponent. Breaking up that line would be good. Nevers should be 4th line, Clark up in the top 9. I'd leave 77/11/81, but the other lines are not quite set.
2 things I want to see Airey get one game and Strobel play in both.

I'd say it's been going on for three years. 🙂
The team as a whole and that line in particular need to be smarter on line changes. To the eye the AARP lines seems to get caught on long shifts more often than other lines & it compounds their D zone struggles.

I would hope Airey plays. I wonder how we recruit goalies. Do we say come play for us but you'll probably never play for a year or two but then you might play every game after that? Seems like we need him to play so we might have a goalie next year who was played in a division one game before.

isn’t it planned for Barto to come back? But also I don’t think playing RMU is going to change much. Either you’ve got that demeanor to be a goalie or not and the mistakes happen when they happen. Having played this year vs RMU probably isn’t going to change the possible adrenaline/hype of being in net against a Wisconsin or UND and having 1-2 games under their belt isn’t going to change if they’re a known commodity or not with that sample size. He sees D1 play in practice every single day. Think it’s kind of a known thing for goalies in college
77-11-81
10-7-17
23-24-22
27-19-18
That's my preferred lineup. I would be fine switching Nelson and Huglen just for a change of pace. J Mittelstadt can play center, especially if the 4th line is reserved for a more limited role.
Still not ready to give up on the veteran line. Yes they weren’t very good this weekend but we’ve all seen what they’re capable of. At the very least they can be a shutdown line.

Zero hustle from that line all weekend. Didn’t see them skate hard to a free puck but a few times. Likely why Bob had them down the line 3 for Sunday. Problem was they didn’t respond.
I would put Clark and Mittlestadt with Brodzinski. Nelson and Nevers with Storbel/Pino.

Tad of an overreaction to two games?
18/24/22 are either really good, or unnoticeable out there. Expectations should be higher for them. I wouldn't mind seeing what 10/24/17 would look like, and I think Huglen could be a good center for Bryce and Clark.
Clearly needs to be a home sweep and Battle Hymn weekend. Hopefully students are back a few days early to enjoy.
@gophers_ingf I like all these guys but I've named this the SC line (as in Senior Citizen). Need to get all those guys going. I thought all three were impactful down the stretch last year.
I will not argue that the 'senior' line (skipping the citizen part) did not have a good weekend. There is noticeably something missing from that group and while not pointing fingers, it seems like it is the tenacity that Nevers had last year digging out pucks. I sort of feel like Nelson is being Nelson (but needs to show some fire). Steady and rarely really messes up. Last weekend had a couple weak giveaways but that really isn't typical. 22 is more up and down for me. I think was trying to contribute more than shooting to the line but now isn't doing that either. He had a couple absolute beauty passes from #24 that he just didn't convert OR turn into any kind of chance. Change up a winger would be my thought. I like the Clark idea

Not knowing what to do, they do what they know . . .
Knowing what to do, they sometime don't do it . . .
The 26th year of the Gopher Men's Hockey Profile got to be too much for this ol' codger to handle . . . what with all of the possible activity on the transfer portal . . . . So, I'm closing it down at the 25th year . . .
Looks like Gopher Bouncyball is at 5:30 on KTLK, so, I assume Hockey is on KFAN+, yes.Games--

Had a dream we beat them 11-3 tonight 😊 😊
IALTO
And people will complain we gave up three goals. 😉
Get the lead and don’t look back. Hopefully the snow doesn’t scare people away
I was hoping for Airey tonight.
The exact same lineup as game 2 against CC.
Seems Airey could get Game 2. Think it is the right play.

Hope the boys play D and support Airey. Happy for the guy to get a start so let’s hope the team is roaring and ready to go
Um, Fox9+ is NOT showing the game. Huh?
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Ok, there we go. Someone at the station messed up.

Well poop.
No. Don’t you dare….
The Senior line!
Nelson and Lamb!!! Gophers lead 2-1
Ok this is better. Talent/speed discrepancy is large.
My feed is nearly unwatchable.
Gophers on pace for almost 90 shots tonight
Shots in the 1st 28-6, scoring chances 12-2.

I’m hoping for 100 to see if the scoreboard can handle it! 😂
Completely dominating but let’s pot a few more goals to lower my blood pressure, please.
The Robert Morris goalie is going to be sore.
Bob Morris is super slow.
Cooley is at the game
