And, to be clear, in Jup's picture there, the puck was moving forward at about the same speed as the players. On video, one or two frames earlier, the puck was out of the zone and the CC player was only halfway across the writing, instead of on top of it.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
A couple really scary passes in the D zone (a strange blind backhand out of the corner by Chesley in the 2nd) but overall a solid D effort.
Yes--Especially since CC tended to have someone in front of the net quite often
Much better last night than on Sunday. Defense played better, still have that one line that gets stuck in our end. I don’t have the dislike of Close others have in here. As soon as the line changes they are on the attack in the offensive zone. I can’t leave him alone but it was so bad, Brodzinski played the entire 5 minute major camped out on the wide side with his stick back waiting to be delivered a pass to score. He got three tries, hit the post, but standing in one place, easy to cover. Will he figure out he needs to crash in and open up shooting for other players? Is it just not in him? Go after the puck instead of having his line minions do it for him. I’m wondering if they are coaching him at all.
Pitlick does both, assists and scoring. Jimmy is getting the benefit of having him on his line. We do need more depth, more production from the other lines. I see so much talent out there, and they are playing mid level.
I get a smile on my face when Pitlick is on the ice. His speed & tenacity is fun to watch. as soon as his shift starts & he hits the ice he looks like he is shot out of a cannon. Really happy to see him get rewarded.
He will beat a defenseman skating back to get the puck. Ludicrous speed.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
They had several pics from the nets last night.

Wonder if this is new as I don’t feel like I’ve seen from the net photos in the UMN galleries before?
