I have met Barry a couple of times at Frozen Four events. He was really nice and engaging. I like Barry and don't mind him. That said, Barry is like a cat with a yarn ball. Just make an early hit in the game and he will be obsessed with that team/player.
On that last statement....bingo! He's not great, he's kind of a goof and all, but I can't hate the guy. He seems genuinely into the games, whether or not he does his homework. Plus, unlike most years, I have been able to watch almost every game this tourney and it's been a helluva bunch of games. I'd listen to the St. Cloud clowns for this trade off.
Flying out Wed afternoon and staying in the Seaport (two miles from TD Garden). Its my understanding Logan International (every terminal) has the Silverline Express Bus that provides free transportation into Boston.

I can book Amtrak today to Chicago for $146. With gas prices that's a steal, but for some reason I thought the were faster. I am surprised at the # of Amtrak locations along the way...never knew.

Yup. Amtak has a reputation for being late by hours and hours. And you'd be pretty screwed because at least with a late connection or something the airline will usually get you there in a reasonable time frame.
I'm flying out Wed for that reason. I had a buddy stuck in Baltimore for a full day last week. Delays would not be good flying out Thursday morning. No margin for error.

Not bad price wise, But if you've never been on an Amtrak, I'd really thing hard about driving. Amtrak is fun going west, and hell going east in my opinion. That said, it may well be the best option going from GF.
Amtrak is also notorious for being delayed / late. Leave LOTS of potential time. They have to give right of way to freight trains and can often be hours off schedule. We enjoyed our train ride from MSP to Chicago a few years back for a long-weekend (better than driving and having to pay $50/day to park downtown and not really need to drive), but knew we may be off schedule.
I've taken Amtrak to Milwaukee many times to visit my parents and have enjoyed the ride, it's about the same time as driving and making stops. But it is always a crapshoot on if you will leave at the scheduled time.

I have shared this on here before but I went to college in Madison. Never watched a Gopher game when I was there unless it was on TV in Madison. I couldn’t afford to go to the games or I was always working. I call those years the “dark years” Moved back to MN in 2001 and boy, what a welcome home those next 2 seasons were! I don’t know that I have ever experienced the jubilation of 2002, the win against Michigan and then that damn Maine game….will never forget where I was, how I reacted and the flood of emotions that flooded over me. I tear up to this day thinking about it. The Michigan games, after Mike Effen Legg was SO DAMN SWEET!!
