MBTA's website does show that the shuttles will run in a loop "all day, every day" No clue on frequency, of course.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
The Subway situation is a hot mess. No blueline for sure. Currently both orange and green are not running up to the TD Garden (until further notice) due to an accident at the Government Center garage. Green will run from the Gov't. Ctr stop west out toward Fenway. Orange is pretty unusable as is Blue.
Hopefully Orange and Green are back before people get there.

One of my wife's MA cousin's emailed me yesterday about the delays due to the accident at Gov't center.
She seemed to think it would be resolved before but this tidbit and $6 will get you a Mocha..... :coffee:

I was planning to just uber from the airport
Congratulations.

Was just wondering why the train option seems so popular. Never been there

It has to be a priority. You essentially have no subway lines running through the core of downtown Boston right now (Red running E/W and nothin running up into the North loop area).

Congratulations.

I could not resist a shot at the randomness of the post. Post padding at its best!
Boston has a really good system, at least in/around downtown, from what I can see. And unlike NYC their trains actually go to the airport which is a fantastic option and one I suspect many travelling to the games plan to use. It would also impact fans staying near the airport who planned to take the train to/from games. Like you we were planning to Lyft/Uber when we arrived simply due to the simplicity of the process (not needing to find the train, get tickets, is it the right train, transfer, etc.) and were considering the train to the airport on Sunday, especially if we got 7 day T passes.

Ugh I wish I could justify the price...flying to Hartford and taking the train was much cheaper but hotel rooms were stupid expensive even with my various discounts. Stupid New Orleans trip for Jazzfest (followed 3 days later with a Vegas trip) is eating up my travel funds!! :anger: :anger: :anger:

That means you have to listen to Barry Melrose....ha ha!! :poke:

I will say this about Barry - he was about as complimentary about the Gophers vs WMU as he's ever been, but it would be nice if he dove a bit deeper into the rosters and that's for all of them.
Barry really looked older than he really is (56) on tv this past weekend during the Regionals. I hope health wise he is ok. Though as a color guy doing hockey, he can stop.
Keep your stick on the ice...
I didn't feel great about the Gophers chances vs. Kato last year, but I feel more confident this time. That means nothing of course. Kato has experience, coaching and leadership so it's a hill to climb.
It's a one and done, but the Gophers have been very good away from Minneapolis, have competed with some of the best already, know how to come from behind, finally have the coaching and mental makeup to match the talent, and now have a PP that at least by recent results cannot be ignored. If I'm Kato I don't like this matchup at all. This team is better than the 2014 version IMHO.
Of course of these observations mean squat but what are message boards for?
I have met Barry a couple of times at Frozen Four events. He was really nice and engaging. I like Barry and don't mind him. That said, Barry is like a cat with a yarn ball. Just make an early hit in the game and he will be obsessed with that team/player.
I was recently informed by a GPLer that I'm related to Airey

First, I will say I am normally not a subway or public transportation kind of person. But Boston's subway system was great. We did a family trip there a few years ago and stayed out in the burbs (downtown was too expensive due to a huge convention) and we just took the train/subway into town every day. Took it over to Harvard too. Very easy.

Yeah, I just mistakenly flipped the 5 & 6.

Barry seems like he would be an absolute wagon to drink with at a bar. Not crazy about his announcing but I bet some of his NHL stories would be jaw dropping.

It’s not a Frozen Four without stuff like this:
Denver 2009 we had to leave our hotel due to a guy in one of the rooms with a gun - swat team came and evacuated us. We forgot our tickets to the game and they were nice enough to go get them for us.
Pittsburgh 2013 the power was out in the area we stayed at when we arrived.
Boston 2015 our hotel employees were outside picketing.
Tampa 2016 we were eating at a restaurant, across the street they were doing some construction, a welder lit the roof on fire and and a historic nightclub burned down and the area had to be evacuated.
Boston 2022 there’s a construction accident across from our hotel.
We’ve come to expect chaos when we come to the Frozen four. ?
Is the common denominator the hockey or your entourage?

Who uses helicopters in this day and age? I thought everyone had a drone for this crap now.
By drone you mean tiny helicopter?
Yes, a tiny personal helicopter...instead of a personnel helicopter.
I am the official Iowa Hawkeye football fan of GPL!
I am very jealous of the Gopher fans currently in Boston bars or hotels.
And you are where?!
I was invited to watch the game with Ryan Kraft tomorrow night. Not sure what I am gonna do.
You go hang out with Ryan effing Kraft
I really struggle watching games with other people.
Goalie Dad syndrome.
Lol, that has definitely made it worse but this goes back to the 01-02 season before kids were even a thought! I didn’t do anything with anyone on Fri/Sat nights until 10pm, I have never watched a Gopher game at a bar. My girlfriends weren’t allowed to ask questions until a commercial break or period break (that’s if I let them watch with me). Thankfully the Gophers have had some struggle years where I am not that into it and have been able to come out of that pattern, but tonight…it will just be me and my son!

Oh lord, I forgot about the fire in Tampa! We were in the exact same restaurant but didn’t know you at the time. I think we met the next day?
Yeah at some point at the cigar city cidery/meadery I believe.
Well since Cowgirl and Kelly Red both wear cowgirl hats I am guessing when they met it was tip of the hats and an exchange of Howdy Partner and I don't see much of your kind around these parts.

OMG, would I love a cigar and a cider right about now. extra large.
So many MI fans…
Denver really using the body--hard hits.
Denver up 1-0. Michigan doesn't have any shots yet.
DU with a great rebound to go up 1-0. Apparently 20-1-1 when scoring first.
Michigan with their first shot finally.
Finally 1-1. DU goals to MI shots.
Denver has been stifling on Defense.
They were giving CPR to a fan as we entered today. Not looking good...
I was recently informed by a GPLer that I'm related to Airey
At the end end one, MI plays Hail 2 to actual MI score 0.
Intermission count: 1 Hail, but still no goals. Can we fundraise to get MI some sheet music?
Looked like Portillo got kicked in the head there
Quote by Melrose. “Michigan’s coach is pulling all the right buttons”. Brilliant.
Portillo is a great big sieve doo da…
Denver leads 2-1 with 12 minutes to go in 3rd period.
Haven't checked out this entire thread, but do we want Denver or Michigan?
Great shot blocking by the Pioneers. Refs letting them play
Haven't checked out this entire thread, but do we want Denver or Michigan?
Denver, for so many reasons.
Michigan ties it 2-2 with 10:51 remaining
Little behind on the game, but Denver is chippy after the whistles. MI guys nowhere near the goalie and always a shove or cross check after play is dead. Reminds me of those green hacks from the west
That’s a five
Ha! Michigan gets a taste of their own medicine. That penalty is what happened over and over in the championship game.
Brink playing? Haven’t seen much of him, Guttman and Mazur have been great though.
Haven't checked out this entire thread, but do we want Denver or Michigan?
Denver, for so many reasons.
Except they’re a Nacho team which offsets them
"Holy Schneikee's"
Dive there? Pretty obvious hook/trip but on replay he went down easy perhaps.
That penalty is legit, Michigan thinks the rules don’t apply to them, chirps at the ref and gets lucky he doesn’t add one
Looked like a pretty clear penalty, not sure what Samoskevich was bitching about.
