Would love to go, but their record in the handful of games I've attended in hte past several years has not been good at all. Only win I recall is first game in Michigan this year. (Although they are 100% in frozen Fours I've attended.)
Fact: the Gophers have never lost a regional game I've attended. Let's hope they make it to Saturday when I'll be there.

Better team wins. I got Gophs 5-2 or something similar. The talent gap really is large but I’m sure North Dakota’s been saying that for a couple weeks now. They won’t make it easy. Come with your hard hats on boys.

Also I’ve basically convinced myself that Jimmy had to be playing through an illness or something against Michigan cause that was such a departure from his normal self. As long as he brings it for the tourney that’s fine with me!

Kurth adds some size to that second line and isn’t afraid to go battle for pucks like Knies did (to be clear, I’m aware that Kurth isn’t Matthew Knies but those specific similarities are there). On the third line, we already know that Pitlick and Huglen work well together. We saw that for the majority of the first two years that they were here.

Unfortunately, I am part of the increasing percentage of gopher hockey fans that have no real memory of the 02 03 teams. I watched the winning games, but I was a toddler and cant recall them. Now is as good as time as any for a national championship. On YouTube, I've watched the 02 tribute video way too many times. Probably an embarrassment amount, to be honest. Have a good strong 20 minutes is all I ask for to start the game!

From what my old arse can recall, hard fought games. Real nail-biters. I was a younger adult, and remember seeing the first one at B-Dubs in Plymouth, second one in Vegas. Both places ended up being electric, due to the nature and niche fandom of college hockey. I want to feel that again someday...
