Aloha!
I think this might have taken care of cleaning the gutters in the spring. Of course I'll still have to do it in the summer after the helicopter seeds are finally off, but I'll take what I can get. (We just moved in, previous owner didn't clean out the gutters in the fall)
Massive snowstorm heading towards Denver this weekend. They could get over 40 inches of snow.

The forecasts I saw from a friend who lives out by DIA said 18-24” but Estes Park and some places a little north of there have a 24-30 estimate
The microclimates and divides out there cause some crazy stuff to happen. Castle Rock was in the 18-24” range but Colorado Springs (30 miles south on the other side of the Monument Divide) is only expecting 8-12
CO is the king of WTF Day To Day Weather, due to the mountains, arid climate, etc. Bipolar to the utmost degree.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
It will be interesting to see if there are storms closer to the regional. Loveland is just north of Denver.

Yes it is. Saw some crazy stuff when I lived out there

I only visited (quite often), but even then.....

Loveland's about 15 miles north of where I am right now. The latest forecast I saw had Loveland in the 12-18 inch zone, but things can change.
We'll see where the weather service takes with this system out west. First we were going to get rain showers and highs in the mid 40's, then rain and snow showers with a high of 40, then snow showers, then snow, but less than inch and now a high of 35 with 1-3 inches. I'll be interested in the evolving forecast over the next couple days.
I had my winter tires taken off on Monday, replaced by my four all-seasons. Plus my golf course opens tomorrow. Sure signs we'll be getting one of our infamous March snowstorms.
I'll put insurance back on my 2 main bikes this coming week.
That'll insure a 7" heavy wet snowfall.

18 inches of heavy wet snow in Longmont
reports of 24 inches in Loveland and Fort Collins.
My niece lives in Fort Collins and says her friends roof collapsed while she (the friend) is in Louisiana. My niece is now keeping two extra dogs and two extra cats while the landlord scrambles to try to seal up a roof...
My nephew lives in Denver and a high school friend is in Westminster. Heavy snow bombing in both locations. No thanks!
I had been a very dry winter so far, after a very dry (and burny) summer. I'm happy for the snow.

Well the last time I looked at today’s forecast we were looking at 0.5” of snow. Now it’s saying 4”.
Yuck.
I'll be interested to see how much snow sticks. The air temp should be in the mid-30s, and the ground has warmed up quite a bit, so I'm thinking a lot of it will melt.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

I agree. That said, I don't even want to open the blinds on the windows today. :lalala:

Please thank her yet again.

My friends who live right next to DIA measured 22” in their yard from the storm. Its all that backbreaking snow so I’ll bet it’s a joy to snowblow it too
We're close to 8" here in Mankato, the roads are atrocious. Visibility was an issue early this morning but not anymore, just very slushy roads with ice underneath.

We ended up with about 7 inches here in SW MN. I had to move the snow by the garage as it drifted to about 2 feet high. I will let the rest of the driveway just melt, as it is soft underneath and I would cause more of a mess.

Pretty much a blown forecast where I live. Supposed to be on the North edge of it and be over by the time we got up today. The opposite happened. It started when we got up, been a whiteout ever since.
I've got just a little bit of gas left in my 2 cycle snowblower. Perfect. I'll run it 'till the tank is empty and put it away until late fall.
Yeah, I don't shovel in March. With the high sun angle and 50's in the forecast, it will all melt by Thursday.
I think I got about 5" total here in Eagan. My dog was annoyed.
My dog was annoyed too...12" here in Mankato, she doesn't like snow touching her butt while she does her business.

2+ down here in Ravenna Township. Just a nuisance.
2" or so in Inver Grove Heights.
3rrd floor apt, Ridgedale area, facing west. I have a lonnnnng view.
Storm is a-comin'. Already saw some cloud to ground lightning, thunder and light show starting to take effect.

We just had an enormous lightning strike that knocked out our cable. Still have power, thank Mariucci.
I have not checked the radar, but I think the heat island is safe. I have nothing right now and I am just inside the 494 loop.

It’s like Mother Nature is playing with a light switch exactly the same way my 2 year old does. Been quite the lightning show

Yep.Getting Light Show Part 2 now. A smattering of thunder.

Have had plenty of lighting and a few thunder rolls here but no rain thus far.
Same here in AV. A little thunder...a little lightning....
Rain hitting here, hitting all 7 of my balcony boards, so it's a big'un.
3 boards? Standard rain
5 boards? A'ight, could be trouble.
7 boards? Yep, we got ourselves a storm.

We had a clap of Thunder last night about 11:30 or 11:45 that literally made me jump out of bed from a dead sleep. I don’t remember the last time that happened

We had the same thing. Just one house rattler and then it was over. Around the same time too.
LOTS of thunder and lightning last night in SSP. Only .16 inches of rain.
Just checked radar and it appears the cities will start to see storms late afternoon, beginning with the southern burbs around 4:00pm and heading north/northwest. Some of these storms could be severe.
Tornado warnings. Fun.

Actually spotted on the ground in Lakeville.

Supposed to roll into the airport area in about 10 minutes. I can see the airport from my deck. Not looking forward to this one.
The worst of it calmed about the time it got to the I-35 split in Burnsville. Still a relatively strong storm coming through, but the tornado and rotation appear to have wound down.

Sigh. I got sprinkles.
