Been watching "The Book of Boba Fett" and so far it has just been very boring for me. I hope it turns around soon, because so far it is not even close to "The Mandalorian".
Okay… Episode #5 just changed everything.

Yes, yes it did.

Just saw this as well. I loved WKRP and watched it from day 1. I believe it's the "Turkeys Away" episode where Mr. Carlson comes into the DJ booth and is nosing around, thinking that Johnny is asleep. You can see Johnny's eyes behind the sunglasses as the "Big Guy" is reaching for something and he says "Don't touch that!". Great stuff.
So I watched it. I haven’t watched one of his whole sets before but I was a bit disappointed. Some of the shorter clips or roast clips were awesome compared to this special. His laugh is odd too but then he poked fun at himself so I didn’t think anything of it, but it wasn’t as dark as some of the stuff I have seen of his.
It was horrible. I like Carr but this set was just off.

Wondering if that was due to the ability to have it not used during the day…as appears to MOA.

I am guessing the location is chosen by the company they are "working for."
If they want to perform maintenance on an escalator that is not in use they could always find one at MSP airport. Those things never seem to be running.
Has anyone watched enough of Reacher on Hulu yet and recommend it?

Isn't it on Prime? I have not yet but looking forward to it, love the books and this Reacher seems.....um.....less midgety.

Born in Grand Forks. Strikes one and two there.

You're right it is on Prime.
I watched the first 5 episodes of Reacher today. Ritchson is definitely a better fit physically for Jack Reacher.
I've read all the Reacher books and have been very impressed with how well they are following (this season is based on The Killing Floor, the first Reacher book published).
I was worried that it would be hard for me to see Ritchson as anyone but Thad Castle from Blue Mountain State but he's been very good. I'll probably finish the show tomorrow.
Reacher's fun as long as you don't pay attention to details.
spoiler, but the idea that solving the case hinges on someone knowing how to correctly use an apostrophe confirms it was written before the internet.
Is the character of Jack Reacher as stiff and robotic in the books as this Ritchson guy portrays? I mean I get he's a no-nonsense guy and I read up on the character a bit including commentary from Child, but I didn't get the impression Reacher was a complete stiff.

Yes and no. The book that this season was based on was the first Reacher book (3rd or 4th chronologically now, IIRC). But yes he is rather stiff in the books. Lots of quips and short on interpersonal skills.

Sounds like Don Lucia... :biggrin2:

I’d say he is playing Reacher close my expectations. Grew up in a marine house and on bases, went to West Point, and spent his career/life on the military. Seems spot on so far to me.
I’d also add the books are written in a very clipped format, seems like a lot more periods than commas.

The finale of Boba...the cliffhanger is the least of the excitement. Wasn't a cliffhanger at all. The REST of the episode...ZOMG. Love it.

I just finished Reacher on my lunch today. I enjoyed it very much. I see similarities between how Cruise played Reacher and Ritchson did. From what most people have told me Ritchson is more physically comparable to how Reacher is portrayed in the books. I liked what Amazon did with this which reminds me of how well they did Jack Ryan. Now if they would just fucking do Mitch Rapp already!!

I saw this and immediately had to Google "Roy Kent quotes". Jeezus, even with ampersands and asterisks replacing the key letters in the naughty words, I didn't think I could post them here. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Watched the new Earthquake special, produced by Chappelle (Earthquake had a bit part in Clerks II, and he was hilarious), Netflix streaming.
30~ minute special, and yes, opinion confirmed, he is hilarious.

Just finished watching Kristen Bell's new Netflix Series... The woman in the house across the street from the girl in the window next to the tree down the block from the park with the big slide and the flock of pigeons on the wires running across the field.
Actually pretty good murder mystery. It's no Veronica Mars but totally didn't see the twist coming. Only one thing that I thought was a little annoying[hide]You couldn't always tell what was real or was her delusions. That got old after a while.[/hide]

Has anyone watched Severance on Apple TV? I gave it a shot sight unseen because I like Adam Scott, and man it's good so far. Gives me Mr. Robot vibes.
They are 4 episodes into the first season. New episodes every Friday

I really enjoyed Ep 1. I'm waiting to go further and I've heard from friends it gets better.

After Ep. 3 and 4 I was on the show's subreddit for a solid hour reading different theories, it definitely ramps up! Ep 1 sets everything up nicely, and it really takes off from there.

I did. Better Call Saul right around there, also. Been re-watching the previous seasons to refresh the memory.

Hulu has been on a nice run lately. Dopesick is watchable, Only Murders in the Building is very good, and Reservation Dogs was probably the best new show in a number of years.
Just watched Only Murders in the Building this week and also thought it was very good! Recommend ??
Only Murders was really good, looking forward to when season 2 is released. Great writing & acting.

E2 of Severance sure ramped up things interest wise! Looking forward to more.
Thinking of trying out The Thing About Pam, a drama based upon true events around a murder of a woman and the possible wrongful conviction of her husband.
Resident Alien S2 has been really good. I recommend to anyone to try S1. The lead actor portraying the protagonist is particularly fun to watch.
Finally Undercover S3 on Netflix has actually been the best season so far. While the series does require a small suspension of disbelief throughout, S3 imho has brought upon less of that and the writers have found their stride. It feels less clunky and more natural. Recommend!
Also the trailer for Obi-Wan is drool worthy.

I’m expecting this to be on the level of Mandolorian if not better. As much as I hated Hayden C in the prequels I think he may kill it in this series from the few shots I’ve seen. I believe it starts after their battle and is Obi trying to protect Luke as a baby. Could be an epic storyline.
That Dirty Black Bag. I guess you'd call this series a spaghetti western as it seemingly takes place in old West but all the actors from what I can tell are European. Not sure where it's filmed. That said E1 was compelling enough I will give E2 at least a try.
Gaming Wall St (HBOMax):
2 part story on the GameStop/Wall Street/Robinhood debacle. Watched the first part tonight, I knew the generalities of the events, but this really lays it out for anyone who has no real understanding on how this short-selling/naked short-selling/etc works. Going into it, I sort of understood, now I really understand.
Part 1 covers all that happened until the huge blowup. Obviously, Part 2 will walk the viewer through the end.

A Perfect World - 2-part documentary about an online gamer that murdered his family and the gaming community that tried tons top him.
Just watched Ep1 of From - a horror fiction series about residents in a small-town forced to hide in their homes at night and never leave. Quite ominous and foreboding. Hope the great start is maintained.

Correct. I believe he developed a blood clot after his hip surgery and the clot is what they are saying caused the heart attacks.
This one hit hard for me. Scott Hall and the NWO was getting huge right as I started getting into pro wrestling (7-8 years old). He has always been one of my favorites because of that (the Razor Ramon persona was before my time).

I remember Scott Hall from his first days in wrestling in the AWA, teamed with Curt Hennig and tag-team champions. He became a great worker in the ring and with the mic as well. The whole WCW-NWO angle was sheer genius.
The next Marvel Disney+ offering (after Moon Knight). Looks like a little Marvel meets John Hughes. As per rumors, looks like they are shifting up her powers.
Seems silly that just because The Inhumans bombed that means she can't be an Inhuman like she is in the comics. But, it doesn't matter at this point. Once they did right by The Avengers they have license to do whatever they want now. Especially considering the Multiverse has been opened and any timeline, any world can have their own version of anyone.
