Remodeling my basement and finding out “new” codes and “wants” from both building and electrical inspectors. Can’t wait tell my final inspection and have them tell me to fix it or re do it even after they told to do it that way the first inspection… lol!!!
Keep your stick on the ice...
Getting about a pint's worth of free samples from Northern Taphouse (nee Grizzlies) just b/c one of the managers knows you know beer.
"Here, try this!" Um, ok. I never asked for a single sample, he just poured 'em.

lol? You're certainly jolly about it... ?
This house remodel has been a simple pleasure. Very few hiccups... And since we've nearly did the whole project ourselves, it's a third to a fourth cheaper than if I contracted it out.

Unloading all my CDs for a decent price, although it is bittersweet. I can specifically name where I got a particular cd, year and place, for a majority of them (500+ in total). Had some heartfelt "aww, man" moments packing them up. (tongue in cheek here) they are going to a good home, someone who loves music as much as I do.

I went through the same thing 9 years ago when I sold my collection (roughly 1,000) to DItV. I lament selling a few rarities now (original PF Pulse with the blinking light), a rare REM Automatic for the People that came in a wooden box and included a number of photos), etc.
Aside from that it was the right thing to do. I downloaded everyone of them and still have all of it on an external and don't even pull it out anymore because of streaming.

One of the top sports rants of all time. Right up there with Jim Mora's "Playoffs", Denny Green's "Crown them", and Herm Edwards " We play to win the game".
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.

Yes they are. I saw one on our Alaskan cruise and it's amazing to watch them breach the water.

It's true! We go Humpback Whale watching in Mexico every year!

My other simple pleasure, Star Trek 4 is the only Star Trek movie, show, spin off I’ve seen in its entirety. And that’s because I went with a group of friends and what we wanted to see was sold out.
To me Shatner will always be Denny Crane!

not humpback whales but this popped up on my Instagram a week or two ago:Watching humpback whales work their magic. Amazing creatures.
We had an experience sort of like this in Antarctica. About 2 hundred+ whales, the naturalist called it “whale soup”. Everywhere you looked you saw a blowhole plume. It was unbelievable.

With the State Hockey Tourney this week, sharing a memory from 30 years ago.
30 years ago… 1993 State Champs!!! What a ride… from Districts, to Divisionals, to State. Being unranked and upsetting so many teams in our path. The years may pass by, but memories will always be sketched in our memories.
30 years ago, the Cut Bank Wolves upset Troy, shocked Lodge Grass, and soundly beat Columbus for the State B championship.
Take a minute and watch/listen to Dean Hendrickson’s production of game tape and KSEN’s Mark Daniels and Kenny “Huggy Bear” Hughes’ (RIP) radio call during the semi-final win.Down 10 with 3 minutes left, we fought back to avenge the Wolves’ 1989 State B championship game loss to Lodge Grass. I was in 8th grade and stood outside the CMR fieldhouse for 4 hours to get tickets. Sorry…my Uncle Rico digressions are done.
Good luck to all teams this week. I am certain timeless memories with teammates and families will be made.

A single pour *cough cough* of Macallan 12 at Main Street Bar in Hopkins, $11. I won't argue.

Well, no. She just knows our group. 😉
Edit: besides, she doesn't fall within the "1/2 + 7 years" rule.

You just keep telling yourself that darling. I worked bar and that’s a flirt drink. Maybe she’s into old men? ?

If that was the case, then the bartender at Pub 819 is totally in love with me. A couple times there's been some expensive pours of bourbon, but not enough left for an official pour (so they can't sell it), and I've gotten those 1/4 or 1/2 pours for free. 😛
(FTR: Pappy Van Winkle 10YO and Elmer T Lee) I've been in the industry, and also know how that all works. It's all about the tips.

Supporting Actor winner Ke Huy Keon was also in Encino Man!! TWO Oscar winners.

Hey, I just learned he was also Short Round in the second Indiana Jones movie.

I was just seeing that on Twitter. As many times as I've watched that movie I didn't remember him in it at all until I went to You Tube to see the few scenes and now I remember.
It is incredible that "genre" actors won the big four actor awards last night. After reading the Wiki page on "Everything..." I am curious to watch the movie to see how a "Marvel-esque" type movie works without super heroes.

Though Data in The Goonies was his eponymous role.

I've only scene the movies 'Encino Man' and 'School Ties' (which was an excellent movie) with Brendan Fraser.

Even though I know this one, it's always an simple pleasure when you find out someone played another role and you say to yourself how did I never notice that or know that. And I think that could be said for A LOT more things than movies as well.

He still looks the same! His voice too. When I first watched EEAAO I knew him from somewhere? It took about 5 minutes before I screamed Short Round ? I found it extremely touching that Harrison Ford was there.

Blast From The Past (co-starring Alicia Silverstone) was entertaining.

Brendan Fraser was excellent in "Gods and Monsters" (1998) as well.

In all of history, if you caught Vin Scully WITHOUT a great story, mark that date down. I say this with ZERO snark/sarcasm. The man has seen it all.

There's that old question that's like: If you could have dinner with 3 people living or dead my answer would definitely be:
living. In all seriousness I think you'd be silly not to include Scully.
It's National Chip Day (March 14th) and I ordered these chips over a week ago. Only available in Canada and not in the US. Eagerly waiting!!!

Too much of a simple pleasure coming from UND… LoL!!! The look on the UND players is priceless. They should be use to seeing their fans doing the ‘Hak Salute’ especially at the Ralph nightly.

Simple pleasures:
1. Moving into a townhome 40 years newer than our old house.
2. Main level living with a huge finished basement
3. New 65” tv with surround system set up and ready to go for Saturdays game.
I hadn't watched Mystery Alaska for a few years and man do I enjoy that movie

A co-worker is out in Boston with some friends to play in a beer league level hockey tournament this weekend. He sent snaps of the Dropkick Murphy concert last night...I imagine his brain hurts from all the beer and his body from all the people at the concert.
