Is their plan to just keep taking players from teams that didn't outperform them in the hopes that will somehow make them better?
I get wanting to add grit (because they always lack it) but not sure getting players from Ohio State is the answer. Ohio State crumbled when pressured.
Tyler Duke is an NTDP guy who has a brother on the team. Normally I’d agree with your sentiment but this in particular is a really good add for Michigan.

That’s kind of a weird one
Maybe he is realizing that having a team of all top end skill and no lunchpail guys is the reason Michigan always disappoints.
Not sure this guy is the answer but not my cross to bear.
The ugly helmets are "trying" to compete with the Gophers next season. 😉

I know that Michigan's soft line up is one of your constant refrains, but their season arc isn't much different than Minnesota's. They build a roster full of high-end, draftable talent to put on a good show during the season but are upended with regularity by older teams with few, if any, NHL talent playing a defense-oriented structure.
They got their lunch handed to them in exactly the same way Minnesota did only a couple weeks ago. If they're soft, so are the Gophers.
If you don't see the difference between the two teams then we can agree to disagree. There is a reason the Gophers have won 6 Big Ten Titles and Michigan has won it as much as I have and it isn't just luck. It is a fundamental difference in philosophy and play.
Michigan has won 3 worthless tourny titles though...the Gophs only two.
Of course basic logic also says just because two teams lost doesn't mean they lost the same way for the same reason.
The Gophers have had more success garnering league titles, but I don't attribute that to Michigan playing soft.
I'm shocked it took this long..

I am all for the portal but I think there should be some restrictions to it. I think in conference transfers should still have a year break. I think allowing open doors within the conference is a recipe for disaster on a lot of fronts. If the NCAA won't force it I would love the Big Ten too because it just doesn't feel right especially since we know the major players are tampering and not even trying to hide it. (in football and basketball for sure)
College sports used to be great because it was different than pro. Different rules, different styles different setup. Now college football is just NFL Light and the basketball is getting there. I already cant stand the NFL and NBA why would I want to watch a lesser version of it? College hockey is lurching that way too and I just cant...
I would love if they really did a deep dive into how LSU women's basketball built their championship team through the portal. Then just this week they grabbed another top talent from another Elite Eight team. To me it seems shady.
I'm with Handy on this that I already don't care for how pro sports jump around (i.e. "I'm taking my talents to South Beach") why would l like it in "amateur" sports? I think the portal along with NIL is just pulling this down a road I don't care for.
As far as this beef between coaches it makes me wonder if there is a Becky or Purple Cow involved in this? You had three cows go pasture in the dairy state and then you had a former Musketeer join the Cows in Mankato. I think that the Hastings move with the players in conjunction following him is an instance where the portal misses the point and shows a clear misuse of the intention of it. It is a loophole that the NCAA should close IMO.
I am the official Iowa Hawkeye football fan of GPL!
It would not shock me if the school involved would be Sparty. They picked up a couple players who played at the USNTDP under their coach and have multiple years left.

Sounds like it was Michigan and St. Thomas over Josh Eernisse. Hearing there were some tweets that have since been deleted that made it clearer.
So obviously, take that for what it’s worth.
Edit: Finally remembered where I had seen it.

Another good indication that some things don't change in Ann Arbor and their new coach is continuing the tradition of being a DB.

Whoever updates the list, does anyone have access to Division III transfers? Looking for some high impact guys/gals making the jump up perhaps.
We are down to 1 week for non graduated players to enter the portal. Will Barto stay or go? I say he stays.

It seems obvious to me that Bob has got a very clear idea of who is coming back next year. And similar to comments he made this year, he must like his team and is betting on them rather than trying to find transfers.
The Fighting Transfer Whioux added another one today.

Brandon Koch the former Air Force D to Minnesota State.
Tyson Dyck to Wisconsin. The BIG is absolutely stacked with talent. Going to be a meat grinder this year.
