I think we can safely say there is zero consistency in college hockey reffing.
They are consistently inconsistent. 😆
First time I've really watched DU his year.
Really fast offensively but seem to kind of beer league backcheck.

I kid you not. This is one of the outcomes...

I pulled that game up just as that review was happening. Cross-check to the throat. That one I'm not torn on... he should have been ejected.I'm not sure how I feel about no MC, but was definitely 5Five it is but no misconduct.
There was a BC player that got a 5 today also with a stick to the head and he didn't get the DQ. Strange to see 2 5 minute penalties and neither one got the DQ.
The old Christian Brothers bow tie.
Ahh, you caught a glitch in the Matrix. Coming into the weekend, the Gophers were locked into 6-9 as I recall (maybe 6-8?). You must have loaded up the page when they were in the middle of updating something as a result and it got weird numbers.Would love to but CHN's You Are The Committee just completely changed. I refreshed with no changes and the Gophers dropped from #5 to #7.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Lot of the bracket almost set. CC in if Omaha wins tomorrow regardless of result. STC if they win both of these. UMass if STC wins tonight then loses tomorrow or Denver wins tomorrow
Yeah, you caught a weird glitch where some team's results were getting updated, and the numbers were wonky. I know you well enough to know that you weren't making it up and certainly not lying about it. I was just trying to figure out what possible combo could do that.I kid you not. This is one of the outcomes...

seems we’re locked at 7, sparty locked as 1 seed, and can’t imagine we play anyone but Omaha at this point

could easily get western, Qpac or SCSU (especially if there’s 5 nchc teams in and they want to keep UND in Sioux Falls for attendance)
Heading to OT in St. Paul.

It is a sudden death overtime for St. Cloud and a sudden day off overtime for Denver.
DU wins it.
Reviewed for offside and goal stands.

Going into the last day.
U Mass 59% to make the NCAA tournament
Colorado College 41% to make the NCAA tournament
If U Mass makes it then only 4 NCHC teams make the tournament and North Dakota playing Omaha in Sioux Falls would seem to be out as a possibility if I am correct in believing that conference first round match ups are avoided unless the conference has 5 or more teams make the NCAA tournament.
I was given suite tickets to tomorrow’s NCHC championship and then both St. Cloud and UND lose.
Enough tickets for a proper party for the empty arena? 🤣I was given suite tickets to tomorrow’s NCHC championship and then both St. Cloud and UND lose.

Final at-large bid down to Colorado College and UMass. Not gonna run the scenarios, just assuming this guy is correct.

Colorado College's RPI .5498
U Mass's RPI .5498
If KRACH was used they would both be in and Western Michigan would be out.
So... no GPL road-trip crew takeover of a suite?Just 2. And they went to a good home.Enough tickets for a proper party for the empty arena? 🤣I was given suite tickets to tomorrow’s NCHC championship and then both St. Cloud and UND lose.

Looking like we get Omaha in Sioux Falls right?
Who should we cheer for tomorrow to maximize our chance of going to whioux falls, and without the whioux?
Very likely North Dakota and Michigan play each other in a different 2 and 3 matchup (most likely in Missouri)
Which puts Wisconsin and Quinnipiac against each other in the Boston College region.
Who should we cheer for tomorrow to maximize our chance of going to whioux falls, and without the whioux?
With North Dakota and the Gophers both being #2 seeds they will be in different regionals.
If Denver wins tomorrow along with either BC or Cornell winning I think U Mass is in and Colorado College is out which I believe eliminates North Dakota from going to Sioux Falls since the NCHC would only get 4 teams in the tournament so they wouldn't have the 5 or more teams needed to allow a conference 1st round match up (Omaha will be the #3 seed hosting in Sioux Falls).
Since Minnesota and Wisconsin are close in RPI .5717 vs. .5714 I suppose the committee could say switching them is not really a change but what would the purpose be for doing that?
So the Gophers don't have to play the host (Omaha) in Sioux Falls? But is sending them to the BC regional out east any better? I don't see switching Wisconsin to Sioux Falls helping attendance.
Therefore I think putting North Dakota in Sioux Falls rather than Gophers is the only other #2 seed that makes sense since Maine being kept out east seems like the thing to do. This change would be based on the committee deciding they want North Dakota in Sioux Falls for an attendance boost.
But I believe Colorado College needs to make the tournament to give the NCHC 5 teams in order to give the committee the chance to allow the North Dakota vs. Omaha first round match up in Sioux Falls.

agreed 100%. UND would be the only team I could see bumping us from Sioux Falls. Interestingly, Wodon from CHN views it differently and has Maine there for bracket integrity, which I could also see an argument for (keeping the 1 seeds with their 2s, which is probably more what the bracket should be about ie integrity). Would pair us with WMU out east (or I guess in Springfield) which I'd like a lot more from a matchup standpoint and would involve not having to sit amongst a bunch of green pukes
The remote will get a workout tonight. BU-BC on NESN/ESPN+, MSU-Mich on BTN, Omaha-Denver on CBSSN.
This time of year the price of DirecTV pays off.
A couple of streaming games.
Cornell-St Lawrence on ESPN+.
AIC-RIT on FloHockey

We’ll think we have it all figured out tonight, and tomorrow at 5:30…
But dammit I hope I’m road trippin’ to the falls. 🤞
Yep. Sunday 5:30 pm. ESPNUWe’ll think we have it all figured out tonight, and tomorrow at 5:30…

I mean I’d rather go to the east coast but with Denver because umass made it and draw WMU first round but that’s just me as I have no desire to ever be in the Falls with thousands of green pukes with nothing else going on in their lives other then their obsession with the Gophers

If the whioux don't make it to SF, they won't show up and will either sell/eat their tickets. There may be a few local ones who live in the area, but no way they will travel over 4 hours from the Forks to watch a regional minus their team. Look at last year in Fargo, it was mostly Gopher fans in the building.

i hope so and will be stalking the resale sites online either way 😀
I got:
BC vs Tech
Wisco vs Q in Providence
BU vs RIT
MN vs UNO in Sioux Falls
Denver vs UMass
Maine vs Western in Springfield
MSU vs Cornell
UND vs Michigan in Missouri
Let’s hope they go digital with tickets.

Cornell and no ones favorite coach Mike Schafer win the ECAC playoffs 3-1 to get auto bid.

Cornell will get either UND or Mich St first round and will beat either of them
BC up 2-0 midway thru the 1st. Will Smith, the Fresh Prince, has both goals.

If BC wins, I think CC needs an Omaha win and either MSU or RIT win to make it.
Edit: looks like BC/BU is irrelevant. CC needs Omaha and either MSU or RIT
BC up 2-0 midway thru the 1st. Will Smith, the Fresh Prince, has both goals.
They’re so good. Just pencil them into St. Paul at this point.
Michigan up early 1-0. And a Michigan player checks MSU player into the goalie, gets a second goal waved off

Michigan picking right up where they left off
RIT up 3-2 over AIC after 2.
