A Gophers vs. Holy Cross match up in Fargo, ND would be awful juicy. Is it wrong that I am rooting for this now?
I have a feeling this match up would keep the boys VERY focused on their round one match up. Yes I realize it was 17 years ago so this year's players were obviously very young when it happened but it would get brought up and I think they would be motivated to not let it happen again.

That was my first and last game in grand forks. This will be my first trip back to a game in that state to the west. If that matchup comes to fruition I certainly hope history is re-written with a big-ass exclamation point!
It would certainly give all the fawk fans a reason to use their tickets - they seem to care more about the Gophers and hc than they do their own team. ?
I find it humorous that a fanbase like UND would travel and spend money to cheer against their rival. I wouldn't waste my time and money to cheer against UND even if the game was here in the Twin Cities. Heck, I probably wouldn't go if the tickets were free. And I would say a vast majority of Gopher fans would do the same. Their obsession is beyond mind boggling.

Don't forget the destruction of motels (UND fans stay in motels not hotels) and the "X". Peeing in elevators, walking to the games barefoot and paying in 'Bochenski $$$'.
Interesting that not only are 1-4 all locked into place, but PSU is locked into 8 and OSU is locked into 9.
Will be very interesting to see how the committee lines that up. I'd guess they put OSU in Minnesota's bracket with whomever ends up at #7
I think there is a good chance that even if St. Cloud moves up to #6 they still end up in Fargo in order to allow Boston University and Harvard to both stay out east (Manchester and Bridgeport).
It was actually very satisfying to watch UMD lose. It was worth the drive up to St. Cloud. Friday night it will be just as satisfying to watch Nodak lose.
