@greyeagle It seems mathemactially impossible that NE and Harvard have never played in the championship game when only four teams are in the tournament. However, you are correct, USCHO says that this is the first time in the 71 year history of the Beanpot that NE and Harvard are playing in the title game.
Counting this year Boston U has been in the championship game 55 times, Boston College 36 times, Harvard 27 times, and Northeastern 22 times.
So in the 69 years of the tournament (before this year) 47 of the years either Harvard or Northeastern were in the championship game.

Gotta love Nodak fans thinking they’re back after a sweep against freaking Miami. They’ve been a fun team to laugh at this season.

-First it was the LetsGoDU website isn't funny anymore
-DU always gets all the calls when UND plays them
-The league favors DU (UND players have to sit games after a game misconduct even when they haven't had 3 but it doesn't happen to DU players), etc.
-Apparently it's bad if the local rag analyzes UND's PP success because the DU coaches can read it
-Schlossman typed in chat UND will start a goalie next year picked from the portal. That didn't sit well with many
-Berry is more interested in making shady deals than coaching and recruiting
-NIL will kill ND hockey - one hoped it will take decades another said it's already happening
-Starman loves DU more than UND

Ive read more ss.com than I care to admit this season, it’s just been too good. If the Gophers end up going all the way this will be my favorite season ever. UND’s been so bad and the candid fan reactions have been priceless.

In a perfect world, I would have loved to see them win the game tonight and celebrate it on the ice. But, if they win it while on the bus back to campus, I'm ok with that too. I know after they way they played tonight, that giving them a trophy really doesn't seem right, but it is a year long accomplishment, not just based on the last game that they played. They do have a bigger goal, but I hope they do take time to relish this moment when it happens.
