My bad, I assumed he was going to play in AHL. I still stand by my nomad comment though
Maybe a dumb question, but since he signed a 3 year entry level deal, does that deal start today, and would end in 3 years, or it doesn't start until he plays in AHL/NHL?
Assuming that this is Bellows' 19year old season, it wont start this year unless he plays 10 games or more in the NHL. AHL years count as long as the player is at least 20 years old.
Bellows is a 1998 birth year, so he's 19 years old (at the most). Doubt he will play 10 games for the Islanders this season...who knows...but he didn't exactly light it up at BU last year.

Good luck Vinnie!

He's started a little slow at every level he's played but shows improvement as he goes. It would not surprise me at all to see him land a spot as a defensive forward.

Very cool. He'll be a fan favorite in "The Big Apple." :good2:

Love him or hate him, hard to deny that Mr. Vanek has had a very productive NHL career. He now has 700 points.

I tried posting the video but it puts in the entire video and not the link...if anyone is more adept please do so. It's a nice goal.

Give Vanek a skosh more speed, and I think he would be an NHL superstar. As it is, he has been a solid NHLer, and he's made a good living doing it.

How any Gopher fan could have anything but love for Vanek is beyond me?
Bjugstad with an interesting goal last night

Ryan Stoa is the only Gopher on the US Deutschland Cup roster, which is a team of European-based finalists for the US Olympic team.

Would we typically expect there to be more than one?

Don't be silly. This was Team USA, not team Canada.
Nate Schmidt signs 2 year deal with Golden Nights
http://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/20261916/golden-knights-sign-nate-schmidt-2-year-445-million-deal
Anyone see Nate making nearly $2.5 million a year in the NHL? Clearly a case of hard work paying off - congrats to him.
I love this. Kid is fun to watch and clearly has learned from the time he was a freshman at the U. Is there another player that has come in quite highly thought of, played so little their first year and then exploded the next two seasons. Would love to see him become a star for the Knights.
Not to the same extent of some, but Collins
Schmidt leads 6-1 Vegas in TOI/GP thanks to PP time.
Kloos gets his first call-up to the NHL with Minnesota's forward injuries.
Mark Alt up to the Flyers for tonight's game, it would be his second career game if he plays.
:good2:
Cammarata with his first pro game and point. Also tied with 3 other players with 4 SOG. https://www.echl.com/stats/game-center/15082.
2 goals for Cammarata on Saturday in an OT win. First pro goal(s) and #2 star of the game.

Fasching up to the Sabres for the first time this year. Alt up to Philly as well.
From a few days ago, Ness is back to the AHL.
Boyd called up by Washington. Hope he makes his NHL debut.
Another two goal night for Cammerata in an OT loss. Good enough for the #3 star. He also had an assist in Saturday's game.
Wheeler is having a pretty good year so far. 35 points in 27 games , good for 4th in the league. Kessel has 33 points as well.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.

You do realize he’s a former NHL Draft pick...playing in the ECHL..not the AHL ?? Agree, nice to see
Him do well, but you have to consider the caliber of the league too...

He's playing tonight and the game is currently on NHL network

So you're saying that the B1G schedule is tougher than the ECHL?

That really isn't a stretch to say that.
Cammarata with an assist Tuesday night. https://www.echl.com/stats/game-center/15192.
Travis Boyd sent back to Hershey after 2 games with Capitals. He played on the 3rd line, no points or major flubs. Hope he gets another chance.

Think we're good on the ECHL updates.

The great part about the internet is that you don't have to read the things you're not interested in.
Unfortunately you still have to click and wait to know.

I'm sorry, I thought I was posting this in the "Local players in the pros" section.
Cammarata: 1 G, 1 A. #1 star of the game. https://www.echl.com/stats/game-center/15200
in a 4-2 win.

Cammarata isn't the Gopher alum with the most points in the ECHL this season. That would be Sam Warning, who has 11-5-16 for Quad City.
Jordan Schroeder recalled by Columbus.
Boeser already the best player on the Canucks and now probably the best Whioux player in the league over the likes of Toews and Oshie. Crazy. Really gonna suck if we only get one year out of CM after UND got two out of Boeser.

Toews likely would take exception to that assessment ever being spoken out loud...of course he’d never hear it spoken anyway, seeing as he has a Stanley Cup Ring stuck in both ears with one in his hand to spare ??
Looks like Boeser just broke his foot.
Vanek with a hat trick and an assist in last nights game.
