Tech's best player booted out 3 minutes into the game.
MTU loses their best player. Game over.
Are these the same turd refs from the B1G title game?
It is what it is and as long as the format and locales are such for a niche sport don’t expect it to change.
It's a niche sport, so it's even easier to change the format. Campus sites. Period.
Except some campus sites can't accommodate 4 teams. Cough...Michigan....Cough. So then what do you do?
Are these the same turd refs from the B1G title game?
One of them. The other is different.
How was that a 5 lol

Yes, Big Ten reffing sucks
Jimmy Walker has always been my go to guy when I've had insurance questions. Yep, already sick of that commercial....
I’ve never even seen the show and I’m annoyed.
There’s a lost token at this game.
Edit. At least two confused green souls.
I usually just mute when commercials are on and check phone/computer.
UMD has won at least one game in every NCAA tournament since 2014-15.
Tech's powerplay is about as sloppy as the Gophers
How was that a 5 lol
It didn’t look bad from the initial angle but when they showed it from the same side of the ice it looked worse. I get the major but I’ll assuming they have to give him a game misconduct if it’s a major? Having him booted seems excessive.
After 1 UMD 1 Tech 0
I’d have to watch again but it almost look like dude fell before he got hit and dude followed through. Idk seemed like a 2.

I know there is an option for a boarding 5 and not toss a player. But it appears that a CFB means player is tossed.
Rule 608 | Checking from Behind
(Note) Checking from Behind occurs when a check is delivered to a player directly from behind, or diagonally from behind. The onus is on the player delivering the check to not hit from behind. This includes body checking or
pushing an opponent from behind in open ice or directly into the boards or goal frame. The onus is on the player delivering the check to avoid placing a vulnerable or defenseless opponent in danger of potential injury.
(a) A minor plus a misconduct penalty, or a major plus a game misconduct penalty, shall be assessed for checking from behind.
(b) A major penalty plus game misconduct penalty shall be assessed to any player who recklessly endangers an opponent, or causes them to go head first into the boards or goal frame, as a result of checking from behind.
(c) A match penalty shall be assessed for checking from behind in all instances when a player recklessly endangers an opponent from behind with excessive force while the opponent is in a vulnerable or defenseless position.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
Interesting, I don't think I've ever seen a minor plus misconduct, ever.
Terrible call. And that’s the #2 PP in the country? Obviously missing your leading goal scorer hurts, but woof.
Jimmie Walker really wants me to buy health insurance
Oh bullllllsh*****t
If that’s a penalty I don’t know what hockey is anymore
Big Ten reffing sucks.
Thank you. B1G refs trying their hardest to make the conference look soft.
Plus side, we won't see another B1G ref this season.
No goals allowed in 187:39 for Fanti.
Keep hangin around Tech…
Holy crap shut up Jimmie Walker
Any word for Hrenak of SCSU yet. Podcast last night said he is iffy
MTU gets pressure but doesn't turn it into legit scoring chances whether it's because of blocked shots, missing the net, or just not getting shots off.
:censored:

Ya can’t do that against UMD…or anyone
Best college hockey program in the country will advance, again.
Tech looked like the reunion skate and hands the puck over to UMD for a goal

That turnover was next level bad
Wow fanti
Hey Bruce, the Richter is based on the entire season, not just the past 3 games...

Wow fanti
I see that gold does show up on XRays
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
I can't believe this many people give a crap about the Richter. I'd trade a Richter trophy win for like one additional win in a season.

Winner of UMD vs Michigan semi wins the title this year.
Roth trying to get the most points. ENs are key

Nah. Michigan is beatable and UMD isn't going 0 goals allowed for 5+ games in a row.
That luck train runs out.
The Jacque Lemaire led Dogs move on :ddown:

It would be so awesome if you just quit being a Gopher fan and became a Bulldog fan!

Truth hurts. If you don't think they are the best program in the country over the last five and ten years I'd love to hear who you think is.

Winner of UMD vs Michigan semi wins the title this year.
So you’re just picking 2/5 (UMD, UMI, Denver, UM, MNSt)? Not very bold man.

What hurts is having to read your posts on every thread everyday. I try blocking you, but then I get logged out and there you are.

What? I'm saying UMD and Michigan will meet in the semi and the winner will win it all.

Until they win the tournament, any of the teams that finished ahead of them in the NCHC standings.
Or, Michigan, MSU-M, Western MI, and North Dakota (double counting a couple of NCHC teams, I know) - if you want to go by who is ahead of them in the PWR.
They were a .500 team (literally) until 3 weeks ago. They haven't proven they're the best at anything *yet*, but certainly look very good.

It depends on your priorities but for me an NCAA title banner would be worth about 25-50 Big Ten banners. So if you're looking over the past x years, that's why they will be ranked first.
I see you had quoted before I updated that post to "over the last 5 to 10 years".
