I guess I don’t care who wins this game, but 3 B1G teams in the Frozen Four and only 1 NaCHo team (the greatest conference on the planet) cannot write a better narrative for trash talking..

Almost as much as Strauss Mann's 10 at Michigan!

He is a player like Brian Elliott where I swear he has played for near a decade.

You know that has happened before right
Ope we mentioned the NCHC one too many times.

I presume there are a lot of things he has never won. What’s Bruce’s point? To throw shade that Jack won it last year?

OMG this guy is a whiny little b***h
McKay’s job is easier than Osgood’s or Brodeur’s back in the day, might have something to do with it!
Think I read he faced like 429 fewer shots than Levi. Someone tried to argue he faced that many fewer shots because he controls rebounds. Delusional nonsense
Tickets booked!

I have no idea what you said. I'm working from memory. If you said that, I'd include a quote, but I gather you didn't?
The Gophers are going to roast some purple cows very soon

I said part of what makes him so good is rebound control and that's hard to quantify. It does lower his shots faced, but not by 400. I also said going off of stats, Levi should win it.
Then we are on the same page Mr. Bale of hay
You didn't have faith enough to have your tickets bought before today? Michigan and Kato fans should have booked long ago.

Boston is not cheap, my friend. And I've seen enough leads disappear in the tourney to never be comfortable
Boston is not cheap, my friend.
Super expensive overall ?
Maybe they would add a flight if the Gophers make it

Cheapest combo I found was 4 people, leaving Thursday @ 5:30 am and coming back Monday @ 6am. Hotel and airfare I had around $750 a guy. Figure an easy $1,000 with tickets. $1500 weekend with everything else pretty easy.
There have to be several nearby airports. Hartford or Providence?
Frozen four regardless. But I would rather be there supporting MY team!!

Is this a question or a statement? Can’t tell without any punctuation.

Those are much more expensive than Boston, since JetBlue flies from MSP-->BOS. Plus, it's the absolute worst time to rent a car right now. Honestly, the flights out to Boston aren't terrible, but hotel prices in the city are insane.

Yeah you definitely want to stay closer to the airport it looks like. TD garden is only 4 miles from the airport. The problem is the return flight back. That early Thursday morning JetBlue flight is perfect, but waiting until Monday makes it tricky, and even with that most of the options were flights with stops elsewhere, or a lot of additional $$. Be interesting to see if they can take care of business tomorrow and then I spend all day Monday looking for options.
Bring a tent and camp out

Sadly the poor me/poor us is pretty normal for him which is strange for someone who was watched quite a bit of national championship success in the last 10 years. It will probably really ramp up if the Gophers win today. Did he respond back to that? He used to get rather defensive rather quickly.
Waiting on the bp28 recap
Denver was the better team yesterday and deserved to win. The Dogs went 3-3 against Denver this season, and after beating them 8 days earlier, Denver played inspired hockey and controlled puck possession pretty much the entire game. Not scoring on the 1 minute of 5 on 3 power play hurt . Fanti played great, he kept UMD in the game & was their post season MVP…so it was unfortunate (for him) that an unlucky puck bounce gave Denver the lead, but that’s ?. If Michigan gets by Quinn…they’ll have their hands full with Denver…
Kobe Roth’s class — which includes Koby Bender, Matt Anderson, Louie Roehl and Ben Patt — finish their college careers with a 10-2 record in the NCAA tournament. It’s unbelievable, things you only dream of, winning,” said an emotional Roth, whose class also leaves with two NCHC Frozen Faceoff titles. “This place means the world to me. Coming in as freshman, it’s all we accomplished, things you only dream about. It’s been the best five years of my life. I’m going to miss it every day.”
Time for Big Bro to the South to make some noise (now), Little bro has been carrying your water for over a decade ? :biggrin2:
It’s time for the Gophers to run the gauntlet of Western Michigan, Minnesota State & finally Denver/Michigan. That starts today…

Western Michigan worries me. IF we get past them, and this is no disrespect to WM, but it’s Mankato that really scares me. But let’s just focus on Western Michigan first.

Yes, whenever the FF is out east, it is very expensive. I will throw out some NON SNARKY SINCERE advice. The best thing my wife and I did almost 20 years ago was make a commitment to go to every Frozen Four. It cuts down the costs of it by at least 50%. It allows us to book hotels and flights way in advance and gives you flexibility on other stuff. There are also other "tricks" you can do to cut the cost down. We save credit card points for this trip every year and our hotel and flights are free. You see the same faces every year and you build friendships with those fans. Most of the cities are interesting and have fun things to do. If you are a fan of college hockey, it is always a fun time. Most FF's will hopefully include one of the following-- your team, a team you despise, or teams that have superstars on them. There has only been a couple of clunker years and cities. So, if you have the means, I would suggest finding a couple of buddies etc to make this a yearly trip and the years that your team make it, it makes the experience that much more fun.

If the Gophers don't make it, my cost is $0. I have no desire to watch other teams play for and lift the trophy, especially as it would so often be rivals. Unfortunately I'm not sure Boston would be on the cards with how ridiculously expensive it looks.
I think some of you guys give Ciskie way more attention than he has ever deserved. He’s basically a cheerleader with a microphone. You just have to put it in that perspective and shrug your shoulders at anything he says.

He didn’t respond. Which is funny because Starman did reply to me and was pretty cool about it.

Well, Big Bro carried the water for the whole state of Minnesota for 80+ years before, so I guess it would about time for some other program to do it. Of course, all I heard were excuses for years from the other schools why they couldn’t ??♂️

Obviously my advice isn't something for you, as expected. I also said "If you have the means". I realize that not everyone has the means or desire to go every year. I was just pointing out an option for Bale as well and maybe he is more open minded to watching good college hockey at Frozen Fours. You may not fit in with the rest of us that are having a good time anyway.

I just snagged the JetBlue/AA combo for 555. Looks like it might have been the last seat on one of the AA flights back so not sure doing better than 555 will be possible. If the Gophers lose I'll cancel but I hope that isn't something I need to do.
Extending one day in a hotel for a slightly cheaper flight didn't really seem to net out cheaper from what I saw.
Another option that I’m probably going to roll with is Creative Charters. Their charter will be Thursday am and return Monday am. Don’t have the final cost yet but it’ll be around 1k per person. Hotel and flight included.

It says return Sunday AM. Will keep an eye out
