GPL Podcast #260: Disingenuous

We have both Adam Wodon and Brad Schlossman on the podcast to talk about the NCAA Regional format. Adam did’t like Vegoe’s word of Disingenuous, so I thought it made a great title to the show. Did we come up with a solution? No. But we are keeping the conversation going!

We also got in to the 2pts in South Bend agains Notre Dame. Previewed the final BigTen regular season series with Michigan as well. […]

Gophers Thrashed Friday, OT Winners Saturday in South Bend

South Bend, IN – This weekend for Minnesota was about facing adversity. The Gophers probably feel like they got a full season’s worth against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Friday and Saturday night. After a brutal 6-1 drubbing at the hands of the hosts, the visiting Minnesota Gophers (19-8-5 Overall (4-0 OT), 9-6-3-4 B1G (37 Pts) found a way to bounce back, fighting through two separate questionable goalie interference calls and winning in overtime on […]

Minneapolis, MN – Don’t look now, but the Gophers are rolling. Now 9-1-1 in their last 11 games, the Minnesota Gophers (18-7-5 Overall (3-0 OT), 11-5-4 B1G) added another quality defensive performance to their recent pile of them, shutting out the Penn State Nittany Lions (12-13-3 (0-0), 4-11-3) by an identical 3-0 scoreline to Friday night’s shutout victory. Combined with other results from around the country, the wins move Minnesota up to #8 in the […]

Gophers Win and Tie in Madison, but Earn a Disappointing 3 of 6 Big Ten Points

Madison, WI – After an emotional and hard-fought weekend, the Minnesota Gophers (16-7-5 Overall (3-0 OT), 7-5-2-4 B1G 29 pts) came out of Badger weekend with a win and a tie against #4-ranked Wisconsin (20-6-2 (2-1), 10-3-2-1 35 pts). Typically, a result like that on the road would be something to celebrate. However, two controversially-disallowed goals Saturday took away a win from a clearly stronger Gopher squad, and after Minnesota failed to score in the […]
