[Sticky] New GPL Host

Jup, so here’s some weirdness for you.  I see the regular list of topics…trivia, weather, etc.  But when I click on them I get a 404 error page for every single topic. It’s says “ opps looks like this page is lost”.  I scrolled to the bottom of the site and clicked on New Host and your post came up just fine.  But it doesn’t come up when I click on the same topic in the list.  

Look like you are the first to make it to the new site... I just got access myself.

I need to make some tweaks to make sure it all works.

Whoa... This place seems a lot faster.

Great job Jup!!  Things seem to be working normal for me.

Since this is a new host with new site cookies, the message board will not remember what you have read and not read. So that part you will just need to get in and read threads for the feature to work.

I must be the exception to the rule. The board appears to be remembering the threads I've read, and takes me to the first unread post in every thread I've entered.

When I was on the temporary site before the domain switched over, it was not remembering for me. But once the new host kicked in, everything worked great!

@jupiter  Is anyone else having issues with X links not showing up? Greyeagle's tweet with the lineup shows up on my phone but not on my Mac. Strange.

Jup, I know you mentioned one of mine didn't show earlier...

Yeah… trying to figure that out myself. 

That may have been pilot error.   I just edited and used the copy link option.  See if it works for you now?

Edit-- When I use copy and paste on my browser on my Mac this still happens. If I copy the link on my phone that works. 

Not a big deal.

I refreshed it and it showed up once, then back to not showing up. Way above my pay grade .

I am noticing some theme problems on the main home page. Formatting is all messed up and I have no idea why. When I sm editing the page, the formatting is great. 

Been making some CSS changes as you have probably noticed. Still tweaking, so things may look weird at times.

I have needed to clear our my cache/browser history on my phone to get things to work. So you may need to do that if thing looks weird.

I am turning off a plugin that has a security vulnerability. I believe I have replaced everything assigned to it. But hold on to your butts because a lot of code replaced was on the Portal page and Home page.

The giphys ain’t workin.

I got that off the interwebs. The Giphy button wasn’t loading anything after a minute so I gave up.  

I just used the button on my computer. Let me try on my phone.

edit - maybe just that time of night.  Cleared my website data and history. Everything else working fine, GPL just super slow right now.  Took five minutes to get this page to reload.  I’m sure it’s something on my end.  Carry on. 😁

Yes, constantly.  If I try and click again it usually works correctly, but the first click is almost always this error. 

The only issue I continue to have is that the twitter links don't show up all of the time. For instance, the new one in the jersey thread someone posted comes up sometimes, and then not other times. Sometimes if I refresh the page it will work, but other times it still doesn't.

I have not seen this error at all. Maybe you need to clear out your browser history and cache?

So far, no.  Before it was a every other day or not consistent kind of happening.  

I have not.  Was previously happening several times a day.  Thanks for the fix Jup!

A strange little quirky thing. In the post I just did in the “Women’s Recruiting” thread I tried to use the small “M” instead of Gophers in the second line. When I tried to enter the post I got a white screen with the word “forbidden”. 

So are you talking about this?

@Jupiter I had this problem last weekend in the game thread.  Tried to post with the sieving goldy gif and it kept saying forbidden until I removed it.  
interestingly when I tested another post using the same gif it worked just fine. 🤷‍♀️

I was thinking more along the line of maybe there was an eleventh commandment I had maybe missed
