I go directly to "Unread Posts" and it loads fine but when I try to access a post, then it is slow. I am accessing on Android phone.
I turned off some plugins and are slowly turning them on one by one... I have a few left to go, but I have a feeling that it may be one plugin causing all this because right now we are back to normal speed. But we will see in a few minutes if things go back to what they were.

What in the hell?!?!?
I turned off most of the plugins. Then loaded them one at a time and check the speed on the portal page. As I went along... Everything is fast. I get down to the last few plugins and just anticipating it to be slow when I activate them.
NOPE... I am right back to where we were before and now everything is loading normally again? How is that possible?

Stuck/hung process for one of the plugins and/or a memory leak. By turning off the plugins, you forced a new copy to start up, and it's working fine.

That is what I thought... But the host turned off all the plugins a few days ago. Not sure how it got fixed this time vs last time. Oh well... working again!

Can't say for sure how/why, but it is back to normal now, yes. Thanks for all the work getting it back running decently again.

Working much better now for me too but I notice the avatars without photos don’t work. Just generic people outlines. Just pointing that out.

That allowed me to figure out the problem!!!
The letter avatars plugin was causing the issue with the site being slow! When I activated the plugin earlier... I needed to still turn it on. When I just did that to being back those letter avatars... The site got slow again!!! So I have figured out what caused the problems!!!
I will leave that off for now. But anyone that had a letter avatar now has nothing.

Instead of the person figure as the generic avatar... Since the letter plugin is broken, I went with the generic "Wavatar" instead. So all those users who do not have their own avatar are getting the goofy ones for now. Once the letter avatar plugin gets fixed, we will go back to that.
Hopefully this encourages users that have not selected their own avatar to get that done.

This board just crawls for me on a regular basis. I'm on a desktop with gig ethernet and it takes 10-15 seconds to open up a single topic.
This place is holding up extremely well under a huge load tonight. WAY better than the old server.
