My wife and I purchased our tickets for the upcoming Frozen Four at Ridder arena for this year's tournament. She's a Badger fan and I'm a Gopher fan so this year might be a tough one for me, but we'll see how things go for the Gophers. The Badger women look very solid top to bottom this year, and it looks pretty clear to me how things are going to end up at this point...but who knows. Here's me hoping for a second Miracle on Ice in the friendly confines of Ridder arena.
I was wondering if anyone may be able to recommend a Badger Bar in the area where folks might congregate? Just was curious if one even exists. It's been a couple decades since I've been back on the UofM campus and I'm looking forward to seeing the area again.
Assuming the BADgers make it to the Frozen 4 (reasonably safe bet, but, it's a one-and-done tournament, so anything's possible) you'll want to have her watch the UW information to find out about gathering places. Finding a BADger bar in the middle of campus is going to be tricky.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
@steve-mn Realizing it is a one and done tournament...I've seen the BADger women's play many games this year on TV and they are seriously good. They can play all four lines and don't skip a beat when they are on. I'm very jealous to be fair...it's a very talented team.
Anyway, bought our plane tickets and frozen four tickets a month ago knowing they're likely going to be in the final. The women's teams just don't have the parity that men's teams have on any given night so to me it's pretty much a lock I'd hate to say. We'll see though...you gotta win to make it there like you said.
Hoping to see a Gopher/BADger final...with a different outcome this time around for the Gopher women.
Oh, if I were putting money on it, my money would definitely be on the BADgers making it to the championship game, they really are that good. Of course, if you look back, in the 2012-2013 41-0-0 season for the Gopher women, they had to go to 3 OTs in the 1st round of the NCAAs, then again to OT in the semi-final, so my point still stands.
