Make no mistake, we were not in a position to win the game. It's just a bad way to end the game. That's all that will get talked about. Not the defense playing super soft with zero pressures the entire game and somehow Jefferson not getting nearly enough looks in the second half.
The defense lost the game...along with some weird play calling by KOC. The refs just put the final nail in the coffin.

He checked down some plays today where he had wide open guys down field.
Poor Aaron Jones was wide open in the end zone today and Sam threw a bad pass to the short rout forcing us to kick a FG.
Stanford converts that TD.

If Nailor catches a ball that most high schoolers make regularly, he has a TD too. Not throwing to Jones on that play should not count against Darnold.
0-2 coming off the bye week definitely not how you draw it up.
For the second straight game, the defense disappoints.
This is the team I predicted they'd be before the season began. Still hoping they figure it out and prove me wrong.
The injury to Darisaw very reminiscent to play call when Cousins tore Achilles. Both were injured during poorly timed/unnecessary plays. Sometimes KOC obsession to be smartest guy in room backfires big time!

idk if it was smartest guy in the room feeling, but think maybe he was worried kneeling and Mcvay calling timeout? Don’t think he would’ve but there was room to kneel the ball twice. Thought it was silly to run Jones and with how it looked it will cost darrisaw for multiple weeks if not the year
Hind sight is easy, but in the marriage of sports and statistics there exists an element of risk, however small. The injury to Darisaw very reminiscent to play call when Cousins tore Achilles. There was no upside for running that play, and the unlikely hazard of running the ball was exposed by running the ball. QED
Darrisaw out for the season. It was a fun five weeks, folks. 😂
Darisaw torn ACL.. KOC posing vs butt buddy McVeay just derailed 2024 season!Darrisaw out for the season. It was a fun five weeks, folks. 😂
Fool me once, shame on U, fool Me twice Shame on ME! Two consecutive years where Bone headed play calls from purported Smartest Guy in the Room syndrome HC…has dearly cost PURPLE. I’m sick of it! 🤬
@handyman Put more diplomatically… losing Darisaw for the season on a meaningless run from your own 5 with 30 seconds left in the half is a tough look. 👀
The play started from the 2 and half. Jones gained 2.5 years to get the ball to the five.
The Rams had a time out left.
Running two kneel downs from the 2.5 yard line is VERY tight especially when the defense is not going to just give up because they know if they can push the center back one yard by double teaming him it will force Darnold to take a two yard loss on a kneel down so after the Rams take their time out the Vikings will be snapping the ball on 2nd down from the half yard line creating a good chance for the Rams to get a safety.
Jones gaining positive yards on 1st down set up the kneel down on 2nd down after the Rams called time out.
BULLCRAP….Darnold doesn’t make it obvious he’s going to kneel down on the 1st play, he just does it, so at most U lose 1/2 yard. And who’s to say McVeay calls a time out forcing the next play. If he does, you take a knee. Look, I get that a player can be injured on any given play, but in this case, the 2.5 yard run proved very costly for the Vikings season. The play started from the 2 and half. Jones gained to 2.5 years to get the ball to the five.

The reason I know the Rams head coach was going to call a time out if we would have kneeled down on first down is because he called a time out even after the Vikings gained 2.5 yards on first down which moved the ball from the 2.5 to the 5 yard line.
There is no such thing as 1/2 yard knell down when the defense isn't giving up and the Rams defense clearly wasn't given up which is shown by the Rams calling time out.
Oh I forgot you’re an associate (remote) coach for the Rams. 😉 Darisaw (unluckily) was injured on a play call that could have been avoided. Sucks he’s done for 2024.The reason I know the Rams head coach was going to call a time out if we would have kneeled down on first down is because he called a time out even after the Vikings gained 2.5 yards on first down which moved the ball from the 2.5 to the 5 yard line.

Bulldogs fans don't like it when you bring information to conversations. It gets in the way of their opinions. 🤣
I agree it was unlucky that Darrisaw got hurt on the play. Plus normally when a linemen gets injured from being rolled up on from behind it is a MCL strain which often times is a 3 to 4 week injury and some times O linemen can play sooner with a brace. Getting a torn ACL injury by being roll up on from behind is VERY unusual.

B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
lol The Darisaw one is opinion. In contrast…the Gophers not winning a single game at Amsoil from October 2011 to October 2024 is FACT. ☝️But yeah, after 13 years they certainly kicked the Dogs arses! Was about time…
If you guys quit engaging him maybe he’ll go away.

I get your overall point and generally agree with you but in this case the stray (bull)dog never goes away. 😉
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
Hock is dun though, right?
This feels like the game every year where the Vikings lose a winnable game at home
Some friends and I were breaking down the sched (I have a bet with one of them, that I think Vikes get 12 wins this year). Titans is the trap game, IMO. They should romp tonight.

What a stupid throw by SD.

Darnold with a BAD interception early for Vikings, tried to do too much & F’d it up! Vikings need to win tonight & decisively at US Bank to restore their MOJO!
You can punch a quarterback now?

well youve nailed this one so far
Bradbury gets mauled, run over & result is Colts strip sack fumble recovery for TD. My God Bradbury…

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen an offensive lineman get decleted like that…jeez
Bradbury sucks, yes. But that doesn’t mean they get to clock Darnold in the head.
Letter of the law says that particular hit is ok. Unless your name is Arodg.
Spirit of the law says that's a no-no.

@bigbeer How can a guy listed at 6’3” 304lbs get pancaked like that? Unfortunately it’s not the 1st, 5th or 15th time he’s been physically dominated since taking the field for the Vikings.
Nothing about this game shows me they’ll get their mojo back any time soon. They suck.
Offensive line is struggling all the way across

Leverage. I'm 6'2" (albeit skinny) and I've gotten leveled by a 5'6" guy, also skinny, playing boot hockey. Hit me in just the right spot, I was LEVELED.

Bradburys issue isn’t weight, it’s footwork
Even Reichard has the yips. Call it.

JJ with a “quiet” 74 yards receiving in the first half (plus 22 yards passing!)
