Make no mistake, we were not in a position to win the game.  It's just a bad way to end the game.  That's all that will get talked about.  Not the defense playing super soft with zero pressures the entire game and somehow Jefferson not getting nearly enough looks in the second half.

The defense lost the game...along with some weird play calling by KOC.  The refs just put the final nail in the coffin.

darnold starts making weird decisions at a certain point.

He checked down some plays today where he had wide open guys down field.

Poor Aaron Jones was wide open in the end zone today and Sam threw a bad pass to the short rout forcing us to kick a FG.

Stanford converts that TD.

If Nailor catches a ball that most high schoolers make regularly, he has a TD too. Not throwing to Jones on that play should not count against Darnold.

0-2 coming off the bye week definitely not how you draw it up.

For the second straight game, the defense disappoints.

This is the team I predicted they'd be before the season began. Still hoping they figure it out and prove me wrong.

The injury to Darisaw very reminiscent to play call when Cousins tore Achilles. Both were injured during poorly timed/unnecessary plays. Sometimes KOC obsession to be smartest guy in room backfires big time!

idk if it was smartest guy in the room feeling, but think maybe he was worried kneeling and Mcvay calling timeout? Don’t think he would’ve but there was room to kneel the ball twice. Thought it was silly to run Jones and with how it looked it will cost darrisaw for multiple weeks if not the year

Hind sight is easy, but in the marriage of sports and statistics there exists an element of risk, however small.

There was no upside for running that play, and the unlikely hazard of running the ball was exposed by running the ball. QED

@handyman Put more diplomatically… losing  Darisaw for the season on a meaningless run from your own 5 with 30 seconds left in the half is a tough look. 👀

The play started from the 2 and half. Jones gained 2.5 years to get the ball to the five.

The Rams had a time out left.

Running two kneel downs from the 2.5 yard line is VERY tight especially when the defense is not going to just give up because they know if they can push the center back one yard by double teaming him it will force Darnold to take a two yard loss on a kneel down so after the Rams take their time out the Vikings will be snapping the ball on 2nd down from the half yard line creating a good chance for the Rams to get a safety.

Jones gaining positive yards on 1st down set up the kneel down on 2nd down after the Rams called time out.

BULLCRAP….Darnold doesn’t make it obvious he’s going to kneel down on the 1st play, he just does it, so at most U lose 1/2 yard. And who’s to say McVeay calls a time out forcing the next play. If he does, you take a knee.  Look, I get that a player can be injured on any given play, but in this case, the 2.5 yard run proved very costly for the Vikings season.

The reason I know the Rams head coach was going to call a time out if we would have kneeled down on first down is because he called a time out even after the Vikings gained 2.5 yards on first down which moved the ball from the 2.5 to the 5 yard line.

There is no such thing as 1/2 yard knell down when the defense isn't giving up and the Rams defense clearly wasn't given up which is shown by the Rams calling time out.

Oh I forgot you’re an associate (remote) coach for the Rams. 😉 Darisaw (unluckily) was injured on a play call that could have been avoided. Sucks he’s done for 2024.

Bulldogs fans don't like it when you bring information to conversations. It gets in the way of their opinions. 🤣

I agree it was unlucky that Darrisaw got hurt on the play. Plus normally when a linemen gets injured from being rolled up on from behind it is a MCL strain which often times is a 3 to 4 week injury and some times O linemen can play sooner with a brace. Getting a torn ACL injury by being roll up on from behind is VERY unusual.

You really need to drop this one...you look even dumber than you did with your "The Gophers Havent Swept at Amsoil" foolishness.

lol The Darisaw one is opinion. In contrast…the Gophers not winning a single game at Amsoil from October 2011 to October 2024 is FACT. ☝️But yeah, after 13 years they certainly kicked the Dogs arses! Was about time…

I get your overall point and generally agree with you but in this case the stray (bull)dog never goes away. 😉

Vikings acquired OT Cam Robinson and a conditional 2026 7th round pick from the Jaguars in exchange for a conditional 2026 5th round pick.

Robinson is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars, playing in and starting 91 games in Jacksonville over the past eight seasons. He was benched in favor of Walker Little for the Jaguars’ Week 8 game and is now dealt to the Vikings, who are in need of a left tackle after Christian Darrisaw suffered a season-ending ACL tear last week. Though Robinson had been struggling this season, he offers reinforcement at left tackle as the 5-2 Vikings try to stay in contention. Robinson is in the last year of his contract and set to hit free agency at the end of the season.
