After the crazy start, the Americans did a good job staying out of the box so the Canadians couldn’t play with supériorité numérique as often as they’d like.
You could tell Hanfin and McAvoy knew they didn’t have good games against Finland cause they were great tonight. Our boy has been awesome against the best players in the world.
I did not know what to expect from this tournament. I was afraid it was just going to be a glorified all star game. Boy, was I wrong. I have really enjoyed watching it. Go USA
I was recently informed by a GPLer that I'm related to Airey
Not to derail things here, but my son and I were watching USA/Canada last night and we started talking about the Guentzel siblings. I told him one of the two older brothers was married to an ex-Gopher women’s player, but I can’t remember who and I can’t find anything to back me up. Am I having a senior moment?

Gonna be a fun scene in Boston Thursday! Can’t wait! I agree this is anything but a meaningless exhibition, great skills and physical play with prides on the line. I love this!

For such a small, quick tournament, they really put in some weird rules. It's best on best. Let the best play and no sit out do to some technicalities.
I have the perfect meme (I edited) coming "if" Team USA wins on Thursday... I've been holding (1996) on to this quote/meme for an opportunity like this. If not, it'll go back for a future date... lol!!!
Quinn Hughes will not travel to Boston. But, team USA will bring in a couple of players in case of more illness/injuries.
The Titan sticks ruled!

RIP to Mike Lange dude was an absolute legend, probably my favorite commentator of all time besides Frank, Wooger (he was more a color guy but still) and Bob Uecker. Even if you don't watch the Penguins you've probably heard some of his calls in a highlight vid or something (they did an ESPN top 10 of his calls). His end of game and goal calls are kinda what he's best known for but he was also really good at being brief and descriptive at the same time, kinda giving the radio listener eyes to the game. His story of how he came up is pretty crazy too, he had a buddy who was a broadcast major in Sacramento who asked if he wanted to go to his first ever hockey game. He got his start because the minor league team was too cheap to pay their current play by play guy who did it in the arena over the PA (IDK if any team has ever done that since).

32 Thoughts did a great, albeit short, tribute to Mike at the beginning of their 4 Nations Championship podcast today.
