Ducks continue to make moves.
I was recently informed by a GPLer that I'm related to Airey
That's a really cheap price for a player with a ton of talent and a decent chance to still figure it out.
This probably doesn't help the Wild get any value out of a Rossi trade

Detroit absolutely nails it.

Only Millennial Alissa "Bud Light" Heinerscheid could have blown that one. 😀
NHL appears to be closer to adding 2 more games.

Adding more games is lame, and leave it up to Toronto to completely fubar their 100 logo.

Detroit is probably did the best with their logo, but Toronto is #2. The other 4 are boring.
Keep your stick on the ice...
The Redwings is perfect while Toronto's is hideous.
The Bruins, Blackhawks, and Montreal look like ChatGPT renderings...in its Beta phase.
The Rangers' design looks like it came out of a suggestion box at the DOT.
Nailed vs Failed?
1 Nailed (the wings)
5 Failed
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Make the Habs logo the center of "100" and Montreal has a winner.

Speaking of the Habs
Source - Montreal deals first-rounders for Islanders' Noah Dobson - ESPN
Dobson for picks 17 and 18 plus Emil Heineman. Dobson signs a huge extension on moving. Habs going all in on their young core
I don’t know if we need the nhl draft room. Kind of feel bad for Schaefer to have to stand there through this
hell of a story on this kid that is a great read but let him have his moment to compose himself. Thought he did great though
Surprised to hear that Mason West was the first Edina high schooler to go in the 1st round.

Just read Joe Finley was a first round while playing in the USHL.

Sam Bennett resigns with FLA 8 year 64 million? 8 million a year that’s it? Is my math wrong?
No state income tax. some teams can sign players for less than "market value" and the player still ends up taking more money home.Sam Bennett resigns with FLA 8 year 64 million? 8 million a year that’s it? Is my math wrong?

I get all the intricacies. I think he’ll be like 37 in the last year so that might be a factor for him but in 8 years half the players in the league might be making 8 million a year.
He's also 29 years old with a career high of 51 points in a season. he's a playoff player. His game fits how the NHL lets the postseason be to a T
Aloha!
Yeah I realize this is a different sport and all but we kinda saw the consequences of the NBA having a super long season in game 7 of the finals.Adding more games is lame, and leave it up to Toronto to completely fubar their 100 logo.
trix…wtf…don’t ever mention the physical toll playing in the NBA takes on players, in the same breath as the physical toll on hockey players in the SC Finals! (despite the recent Achilles injuries to Haliburton, the guy the Bucks got from Portland or Durant 5-6 years ago) lol. There’s absolutely NO COMPARISON 🤣 That being said, adding 2 more regular season games (and dropping two corresponding preseason games) is stupid & lame…as SS noted earlier.Yeah I realize this is a different sport and all but we kinda saw the consequences of the NBA having a super long season in game 7 of the finals.Adding more games is lame, and leave it up to Toronto to completely fubar their 100 logo.
Dude… I know you love this idea that NHLers are the toughest players in any sport ever and and I’m not exactly debating their toughness but don’t be a ding dong. The physical toll on NBA players playing 82 games plus playoffs isn’t exactly easy either and a dude who’s a better athlete than the vast majority of NHLers playing far more minutes per night having an Achilles tear at age 25 is a pretty good example of what I’m talking about. Both leagues would benefit greatly from shortening their seasons but I get why they don’t ($$$).
Someone brought up the increase in "possessions per game" in the NBA, and it's the highest since the early 70s (want to say 70-71 Bucks) which means more running, and lo and behold, more Achilles tendon/ACL/MCL injuries. All pro sports take a toll, in different ways.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
@trixr4kids Sorry Trix I guess I was a little overboard with my retort…turns out I am a bit of a ding dong 😂
all good 😆@trixr4kids Sorry Trix I guess I was a little overboard with my retort…turns out I am a bit of a ding dong 😂
Lots of stuff happening in the NHL today. Among them--
Marner traded to Vegas and signs an 8 year deal @ 12 million a year.
Ekblad resigns in Florida -- 8 x 6+ per year
Marchand is close to re-signing with Florida for 6 years at 32 million per Friedman

i still don't understand how Vegas is doing this with their current contracts.
crazy florida is basically going to be able to run it back again. going to have to put together some rookie deals to finalize their roster out but the whole core back again
Signing Brad Marchand (who is 37 years old) to a 6 year contract is "interesting".
Vegas is going to be without Pietrangelo for the year because of injury. The are going to have to move a decent player or two to make it work , but shouldn't be too difficult for them to get under the cap.i still don't understand how Vegas is doing this with their current contracts.

I have no idea how the Panthers are going to get cap compliant without having to lose an important player.

If they want to send us karlsson I wouldn’t be upset about it.
they’ve still got to resign Eichel as well who if your the Wild you should be willing to move whatever outside of the core to land though will be untouchable
Will be interesting how all of these contracts look like in 2030. But, they have 2 Cups, so it really doesn't matter that much I guess.
