boston is definitely off their game tonight. team shouldn't be nervous but seem to be feeling the pressure of expectations. would love to see Florida finish this off.
Boston now up 3-2. THAT was a gift wrapped rebound with a beautiful bow on it.
Pretending to get high sticked seems to be all the rage
Came here to comment on the diving and acting I’ve seen in the playoffs, looks like I was already beat to it. Seems like it really has become the thing to do.
not just the NHL either. I noticed this season Knies was especially good at acting for a penalty this season for the Gophers. He would stay down or grab his face a ton. Don’t think he ever missed a shift after these “injuries”.
Knies had a really bad one in game 5 or 6. Really wish the league would start suspending players for this garbage, but I can't imagine it will happen anytime soon. They still can't figure out that breaking a guys neck might be a problem.Came here to comment on the diving and acting I’ve seen in the playoffs, looks like I was already beat to it. Montour a beast in this series.
This game deserved to go to OT
Stanley Cup playoffs, game 7, overtime. There's just nothing else like it.
Ha ha Boston!

I guess this series now goes in the "upset" category. ?

Who had the Bruins losing in the 1st round losing three straight games to blow a 3 games to 1 lead?
In the regular season they were 34-4-3 at home. After winning game one at home they lost three straight games at home in the series (games 2, 5, and 7).
The Leafs advance in their series and the Bruins choke talk about a reversal. ?
Since MN can't win I'm revelling in other's misfortune. ?

That’s the worst possible way to lose, I feel terrible for their fans…..NOT

Boston sports fans have one far more titles in the last 30 years than their fair share. Since the Twins won in 1991 the city of Boston has won what…15 titles?
A simple pleasure --- Smug Jack Edwards having to call the season ending loss.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.

That is savage. 😀

He sounds drunk.
Kraken bounce CO. Both top seeds out. Doesn’t make me feel better the Wild couldn’t get past Dallas.
Down goes Frazi...er, Colorado. Another amazing game 7. Two in one evening. As I'm moving into the twilight portion of my life, I feel like I'm running out of time to once again witness the magic we saw tonight, from a home franchise perspective. That was some incredible drama.

Colorado was #2, and if the NHL didn’t do the silly seeding they do, #3.
So the top teams in East and west fall out the playoffs round 1
Aloha!
For the last 10 years the team with the best NHL record 1 team won the cup

It really is sickening. All 4 major teams have won championships since 2001. Boston fans have witnessed more championships in the past 22 years than a Minnesota fan would see in 20 lifetimes.
Since 2001:
Patriots: 6
Red Sox: 4
Celtics: 1
Bruins: 1
Panthers limit playoff ticket sales to U.S. citizens

If Bergeron retires, it sucks that was his last game.. He along with Pavel Datsyuk have been my all-time favorite players, and he truly deserved to exit his playing career better. I cant imagine playing hockey through three herniated disks in my back.. What a true warrior. IMO should have won the Selke about 4 more times than he did.. the most complete player in the league.

He had a positive goals saved above expected differential this year which means he made his share of big saves. So far in the playoffs that’s not been the case and yeah he’ll need to be better as the competition gets tougher.Yeah that was super unlucky, I thought he just messed up the pass at first. No way the Oilers are winning a cup with Skinner in goal
his stick was broken. Watch in slow mo, between the C and M in CCM.
I wasn’t referencing the misplayed puck specifically, I just think he’s their weakness. Even tho with their offense they’re good enough to win the cup, they’ll still have games where the goalie needs to carry them and I don’t think he can.

Always a tough matchup because he could shut down your top line and he’s playing beside other elite talent that consistently made for one of the best lines in the NHL.If Bergeron retires, it sucks that was his last game.. Phil Kessel (VG), Nick Bjugstad (EDM), Matthew Knies and Justin Holl (TOR) get to see Round 2.
Two former Gophers are fighting for 1 last spot:
Erik Haula (NJ) vs Ryan Lindgren (NYR) in game 7
Don't think I missed anyone.
Skjei
Back to back interesting calls in the NYR/NI game
Maybe I’m getting blind in my older age, but the main point of contact on the Trouba hit was the head. He wasn’t putting a shoulder through the body, he was putting it through his head.
Trouba tries to kill Meier; because they’re on the PK and losing, nothing happens.
It was a legal hit. Very Scott-Stevens-like.

Haula probably ices for or the Devils when he makes it 3-0 with 5+ left.

Scott Steven played 25 years ago when we didn’t know what a concussion was.
But the fact remains, that was a Scott-Stevens-like hit, was it not?

Was harder to see at regular speed but obvious when slowed down. Surprised they didn’t look at it for a major but also not really surprised.
