So our choice is rooting for COL (albeit with Myers in the lineup) or SEA with Hakstool coaching…yuck
There is a third option.....always a third option.

Watching Boston fans lose is one of my favorite sports
Growing up a Habs fan it never gets old.

Colorado, who I absolutely hate other than 1 player... or Seattle that I really don't care about one way or another other than the head coach that I loathe?
Wow. As discussed in the Wild thread... TOR puts up a Touchdown + PAT on Vasilevskiy and doesn't even get the mercy pull at 6-1 at the end of 2... That surprises me. That series also tied 1-1. Winning team has a touchdown and a PAT in each game. (7-3 and 7-2)

Go Kraken.
If you are referring to Makar I could have typed the exact post. Also, I think CO would be a tougher out if the Wild move on.

Who cares about Makar? 😉 I was talking about Meyers. (Honorable mention to a 2nd player in Ranta)

I should have put that together. I do enjoy watching Makar though.
It really seems to be in the eyes of the beholder. I haven’t seen a replay where I can truly tell Vilardi touches it, others disagree. I don’t know how they do it on these reviews, but if they have multiple on and off ice officials giving their opinion I’d assume they won’t overturn something if they can’t agree.
That’s what I was thinking too, but focusing on the stick blade changed my mind. Regardless, obviously close and difficult to tell. I have a hard time saying the officials botched this with much conviction.
Watch the rotation of the puck in super slow mo (pause and drag the bar and focus on the lettering on the puck). It absolutely changes direction right at the point it passes the stick blade. Right at the 4 second mark into the video the rotation of the puck clearly changes from flipping end over end in a vertical direction to a horizontal direction. Pretty sure that defies the laws of earth type physics if the puck is not affected by another force. But…I am no physicist.
I do understand the nuance of incontrovertible evidence. And refs wanting to go home. ?
@cowgirl - I don't think the rotation changes at all aside from the puck reached its peak and started to fall back down, but I wouldn't fight you over it. ?
at the exact moment it passes the blade of the stick. ?♀️. I guess these are the problems of the universe that I pondered when I couldn’t sleep last night.

PS I also could not pass as an artist. ?
I was recently informed by a GPLer that I'm related to Airey

yup agreed. tbh i was pretty surprised they didn't overturn it in Toronto, but thems the breaks.
And, the right call on review for the Boarding. That was just an unfortunate hit, not a penalty.
Wonder how the assorted fighting calls will go.
A bit odd that it went from a major to no penalty.
I think that was added in the NHL this year. On reviewing a Major, they can just wipe the penalty out entirely. Think of how many 5 minute reviews in college we see and think "That shouldn't have been called anything" but still winds up in a power-play because they called a penalty before the review, so there MUST be a penalty.

And if it is not initially called a major it cannot then be “upgraded” to one right? So they just automatically call worst case scenario and start from there as then they have options to call anything up to the level of the penalty they called. At least that is my understanding.

Maybe? I don't know, just saw the earlier discussions about being able to negate a penalty entirely, in addition to downgrading to a minor.
