My vote would be Texarkana, TXSurprised no one has brought this up. Multiple sources are stating the NHL is looking into expansion. Cities in the rumor mill include Austin, Houston, Lowell, Worcester, and Atlanta.
I have to believe that someone has brought up moving the Coyotes as part of this.
Perry probably deserved it.
Expansion? Owners just can't get out of their own way.
Hey for $800M divided by 32, you can place the team wherever you want. The rest of the owners get nothing for relocating Arizona.

Boston (50-11-5) is on pace to have 63 wins. Need 13 wins their final 16 to break the record for wins in a season. They are +380 to win the Cup, followed by both Colorado and Carolina at +650. The Wild are at +2200.
Detroit: 62-13-7 (1995-96) Lost in the conference finals to Colorado. Colorado went onto win the Cup.
Tampa: 62-16-4 (2018-19) Swept by Columbus in the 1st round. St. Louis wins the Cup

Further proof the NHL struggles to get out of its own way.

Fanatics is single-handedly destroying all sports merchandise.
What am I missing about Fanatics? Typically, any economic exchange involves a value equation. Competition generally sorts this out. The supplier that provides the best products at an attractive price wins.
If consumers agree that Fanatics is so bad, how are they not only surviving but apparently thriving?
I know nothing about them except that their offering at Mariucci is overpriced garbage, and the place isn't even worth walking into.
By signing contracts with teams/schools/etc that limits fans selections to only their garbage if said fans want to buy any merchandise for the team in question. If consumers agree that Fanatics is so bad, how are they not only surviving but apparently thriving?
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

Walmart is doing pretty well but I’m not interested in buying clothes from there.

You kind of answer your own question. ?
Plus it's a 10-year deal. Ugh.
Gross. Fanatics is garbage.

The Isles have Parise on the ice 3x3 OT? How are they a playoff team?
Also, Kuznetzov just scored the dumbest SO goal I’ve ever seen
This has to be one of the quietest 100 point seasons I can remember.

Crazy that Knies is back playing at Amalie Arena 3 days later.
They way they’re calling challenges for goalie interference is gonna be an issue in the playoffs. The goalies obviously know that if there’s an opposing player close to them they can just start flopping across the crease and it’s gonna get blown down.
Blackhawks announce they will not re-sign Toews.

Thought I read somewhere that Blackhawks knocked out Pittsburgh from playoffs and simultaneously shot themselves in the for the Connor Bedard sweepstakes

It didn’t technically knock them out, but it took them having their own fate in their hands. The Islanders winning knocked them out, I believe.
Regardless, pretty hilarious. Chicago still has a good shot with it being a lottery.
Is Dallas playing hockey or helping schoolchildren cross the street?
Those are some bad uniforms.

Something about beating the Penguins convinces teams to mortgage their future. Now Columbus beat them to hurt their lottery probability getting Bedard as well.

Funny you say that, I remember sitting on our front porch when the move was finalized (30 years ago today ironically) thinking how sad it was our soon to be born kid would not grow up with the North Stars in town. It was great the Wild started in the league around the time who were starting to get into sports and hockey in particular.
The best thing about the Wild coming to St. Paul was demolishing the Civic Center. I know people get all nostalgic about games and concerts there but it was an absolutely awful place to watch games. If you're ever in the second deck of The X bring binoculars & turn them around so you look through them the wrong way. You've now experienced watching a game a the Civic Center.

Just change the wilds name to North Stars, Baseball has Red Sox and White Sox no problem

Out of all names to have two of in the NHL…
One, Sebastian Aho, 25, Finnish forward for Carolina. And two, Sebastian Aho, 26, a Swedish defenseman for NY Islanders.

Looked up when the NHL and the NBA went from a five game first round series to a 7 game first round series… couldn’t remember for sure the NHL and the NBA seems sooner than what it was.

Two Minnesota born goaltenders starting on the same night in the NHL playoffs, don't know if that has ever happened before.
Alex Lyon (Baudette) for Florida
Jake Oettinger (Lakeville) for Dallas
Maybe next year Lindgren or Stauber can add to the total?
(Hopefully Stauber would be due to getting traded, I am shedding zero tears about the Blackhawks missing the Playoffs)
Good to see… cause you don’t see NHL goalies coming out of Minnesota all that much. You see forwards and dmen on every roster, but goalies… there’s just something about Minnesota youth hockey and on up about goalies.

Leafs do the unthinkable, they score to make it 3-2 which means they are giving their fans hope. So mean.

Now that’s a hit to the head.

6-2 TB, the Toronto fans are absolutely miserable. They showed a kid on the verge of tears after the 6th goal scored with .8 seconds left in the 2nd. He has a confused look on his face like he just found out he was adopted.
Not an exciting night. Rangers up 4-0.

So our choice is rooting for COL (albeit with Myers in the lineup) or SEA with Hakstool coaching…yuck
