What an embarrassment... What's with all these stadiums/arenas pushing it to the last minute? Even the old Met Centre they were installing seats as fans were arriving. The "X" they were still painting walls when fans were arriving. If the project is projected for a date and it running behind, the construction co. should be on the hook and start working around the clock.

This is just for the NHL teams. They are in the process of building an annex for the visiting NHL locker rooms. I believe the visiting locker room for the college teams are complete.

Without a home, the Coyotes struck a deal with Tempe and Arizona State to play at their new arena, which still isn’t entirely completed. As part of the deal, Coyotes owner Alex Meruelo invested at least $30 million to build an annex to Mullett Arena that will house two NHL-caliber locker rooms, as well as offices and other facilities for the Coyotes. The Coyotes also helped fund some upgrades to make it an NHL-ready rink, which included a replay booth and technical improvements to ensure the quality of the ice. That annex is still under construction, and won’t open until at least December. When the Coyotes leave for their own arena, Arizona State will get to take over the annex, a heck of a going-away present.

I'm assuming you mean all-time goals scored, because he's never going to even come close to the total scoring record.
Absent injury, I suspect he likely will pass Wayne for goals scored, and unless he suddenly decides to retire today, he's definitely passing Howe.

Ok after looking closer you must mean goals. Ovie currently scores 0.61 goals per game played and is 95 goals from breaking Gretzky's record of 894. At his current pace he'd have to play another 155 games to do it, although assuming he doesn't hold that average the games required goes up. He's "only" 37 so it's certainly possible.

At his current pace he'd have to play another 155 games to do it, although assuming he doesn't hold that average the games required goes up. He's "only" 37 so it's certainly possible.
I've been keeping an eye on this record for the last couple years. Thought Ovi would eventually start cooling off, but he hasn't. Even this year he has around 20 goals in 30 games. I think he'll do it, unless his body just shuts down.

Also pointed out that Ovi lost something like 100+ games due to Covid shortened seasons and would otherwise be very close to Gretzky now.
Since Gretzky has more assists than any other player has points…Ovi being a better goal scorer is arguable…and may be true…but the Great One is the GOAT as s player & its not close. Agreed, I just thought it was interesting as I’ve always thought Gretzky was untouchable.
I figured 894 wouldn’t be likely again as well. Now we see it isn’t untouchable. I still think Selanne’s rookie record won’t be eclipsed, though.
