They'd be a failure in literally any city under this gong show ownership group. The NHL looks stupid in this whole deal for getting some penny pinching owners who run the franchise like some consulting firm.
At some point (two years ago would have been ideal) does the NHL step in and run the franchise? They must have some recourse when they see this happening....

I was listening to a podcast and Elliott Friedman said it’s a possibility the NHL buys back the Yotes and sells them to a different owner but auctions them in a way in which the league would also get an ‘expansion fee’ which is an interesting thought. Videotron Centre in Quebec is just waiting for an NHL tenant. Have to think Houston excites the league more from a TV revenue perspective. Building is ready there too.
Seems like time is running out in the desert.
