I see Buium as another Brock Faber. He has all the tools, and when he gets into an NHL system where everybody has talent and knows their jobs, he'll learn quickly.
No doubt on Buium, the kid has it all right now, his future looks very bright. He and Faber's game should compliment well, Faber having the shutdown element with some solid O, where Buium if it all works out has phenom O potential.
And he will be 19 into December of next season, very young.
Could be a good pairing in the next Olympics if the kid is a stud. The Keith/Seabrook combo and the Sharks 2010 line (Heater/Thornton/Marleau) always seemed to be extra good.

My D pairs for the playoffs are:
Spurgeon - Brodin & Faber - Buium & Begosian - Middleton.

An 18-yr-old defenseman on a playoff roster? Could be entertaining at least. 😆
He's already their best PP defenseman and I can't imagine he can be much worse in his own end than Chisholm or SpurgeonMy D pairs for the playoffs are:

I remember when Faber finished out the season with the Wild, he was running all over the place and at times looked a little out of place. I hope you're right, but Buium is younger than Faber was and would be put into a difficult situation playing playoff hockey against fully developed men. I wouldn't have the same reservation if we were a forward.
To your point, he still may be a better option than Spurgeon and Brodin, who tend to get slapped around in the playoffs. It's just a lot to ask of an 18-year-old defenseman.

I wouldn't expect Buium to step in and be a star, but I have a hard time believing that he isn't already a better hockey player than Chisolm and Merrill
Buium may be younger than Faber at the same stage, but has a much more accomplished resume at Denver than Faber had with the Gophers (I’m not trolling here, it’s simply a fact) he’s sitting on 98 points in two seasons, more than Makar or Perunovich tallied after 2 seasons. And the Wild are long shots to beat the Jets or Golden Knights anyway, so roll the dice with Zeev, maybe he can provide an unanticipated spark while getting him acclimated to the NHL playoffs style & pressure in the process. He will play next Wednesday vs the Ducks, so throw him in with Faber & see how he does, Wild playoff spot should be secured before the last game, considering 🔥 being 5 points back with 4 to play & Wild having 3 to play. He's already their best PP defenseman and I can't imagine he can be much worse in his own end than Chisholm or SpurgeonMy D pairs for the playoffs are:

If Wild beat 🔥 tomorrow, I predict Zeev will make NHL debut Saturday vs Canucks & will play Wednesday vs Ducks. After that, it’s up to Billy & Hynes.
Buium isn’t on the team. We all assume he will be, but he has to sign first. And then they have to put him in the lineup
i doubt he could get a work visa by saturdayIf Wild beat 🔥 tomorrow, I predict Zeev will make NHL debut Saturday vs Canucks & will play Wednesday vs Ducks. After that, it’s up to Billy & Hynes.
Hadn't thought of that, but yeah you’re probably correct, so his debut will likely be vs the Ducks on Wednesday.i doubt he could get a work visa by saturdayIf Wild beat 🔥 tomorrow, I predict Zeev will make NHL debut Saturday vs Canucks & will play Wednesday vs Ducks. Does he need one when the game is in Vancouver? 😀
Wild playing in a "Playoff-type" game tonight against another bubble team. Let's see if they Wild can match the intensity of a team needing to win.
halfway through... losing 3-0, getting outshot 23-10, 0-1 on the PK.
It was cute to put up 8 goals against the worst team in the league, but this team is a long ways from actually contending.
If this was a fishing show they would already be talking about the tackle box.

Rested, healthy, and something to play for and the Wild don't show up. The team waited for UK and Kaprisov to come back and then go back to lackluster play.
What a disappointing game.
KK and Ek finally come back and the team gives up 7 goals against San Jose and follow it up with a bad showing against a team that is (apparently) more desperate than they are.
Now they need a win in the second game of a back-to-back after traveling. Good luck boys.
The playoff-ready Wild have given up 11 goals in two games.

Wild & Blues have 93 points & both have 2 games remaining. Wild at Canucks & host Ducks. Blues at Kraken & host Utah. Flames have 90 points & 3 games remaining, host Sharks & Golden Knights & at Kings. This SHIT ain’t OVER. Wild desperately must win today over Canucks (who have 87 points so are essentially already eliminated). If Wild lose today in regulation, they no longer control their playoff destiny, if Flames win out (all 3 remaining games) irregardless if Wild beat Ducks in their season finale. So it comes down to tonight, otherwise Guerins’s butt hole will be puckered like a bell drum hoping the Flames lose a game. That’s what the failure to even get one point last night vs Flames has resulted in at 10:27am on a Saturday.

wow you gonna take that @greyeagle ? Dude called you old…….
Does Chisholm out open up a spot for Buium?
Weak call on Begosian
the new Wild PP is pretty fun
Wild desperately need to secure at least one point tonight after rallying from being down 2-0 going into the 3rd period! 2-2 now with 5 minutes left in 3rd period.the new Wild PP is pretty fun
After trailing 0-2 entering the 3rd period, ONE HELL of a 3-2 Comeback WIN by the WILD!
Calgary can pass us but not tie us. We will have more regulation or overtime wins no matter what happens. They must win out and we must lose in regulation for them to get past us.
Also, the Blues lose in OT to Seattle so they currently sit in eighth.

Lucky it was Foligno going to the net against their gorilla defenseman on the second goal. He had all his weight on the stick and wasn't taking no for an answer.
Faber was great all game and especially in the 3rd.
The Wild out shot Vancouver 33-14. It's not too often you hold a team to 14 shots especially in their building.
The Wild end the regular season with a 23-13-5 road record.
Winnipeg and Washington are the only teams with a better road record.
It was a great comeback after two shoddy games and an 0-2 hole at the start of the third period.
I hope they don't have a stinker against the Ducks.
Well, if Calgary beats the Sharks tonight, Ducks on Tuesday becomes a “MUST” game & besides they want to finish ahead of Blues. It was a great comeback after two shoddy games and an 0-2 hole at the start of the third period.
I hope they don't have a stinker against the Ducks.
Last night Flames 5 Sharks 2. The Wild finale vs Ducks is now a MUST game, Wild can’t afford to lose in regulation if they want to control their playoff fate. Flames host Golden Knights on Tuesday in a game which starts 2 hours after Wild puck drop & they finish Thursday at Kings. But the good news is if the Wild beat the Ducks they play Vegas & avoid traveling to Winnipeg for Game 1 of the playoffs.

i really don’t understand how he didn’t get supplemental discipline for this but then i remember this is the nhl and it’s always random
Why? Forbort throws 3 punches while Trenin is on his knees, why would Trenin ever be expected to show Forbort any grace? Respect swings both ways.https://twitter.com/spittinchiclets/status/1911530266989846852?s=46&t=W4s02gNcIoMyDeUxN1rxlQ

The Canuck who decided to get involved from the bench, certainly deserves to miss a game or two.
It isn’t technically against the rules (other than the five you get for fighting) is probably why. Just against the code.

Forbort is also still clawing at his ear when on his back. Still not a big fan of the extra shot, but it made more sense than most. Pretty clear the officials saw it the same way. He got the 10 so a Canuck didn’t kill him.
Also that was proud Latvian and Mankatoan son Teddy Blueger
The extra shot by Trenin is at best borderline 50/50. It wasn’t like Trenin was sitting on Forbort and pounding his skull into the ice. It was more a continuous movement and bang-bang.
Keep your stick on the ice...
I was in Toronto watching this game, and have watched plenty of others from that side of the border too. The disparity is hilarious. It is my firm belief that Canadian hockey fans are insufferable because of the absolute nonsense they are fed during a game against an American team. All of the analysts and announcers were basically calling for Trenin’s head.
Well, all but one. Kevin Bieksa basically said “Eh, I’ve done that” which made me laugh pretty hard because yeah, he has.

The being pinned on his back with his weight on top of him. On your back (versus down to a knee) wildly different in terms of the general “code” of fighting. Not saying I agree or disagree, I’m just really surprised he didn’t get supplemental.
The Wild finale vs Ducks is now a MUST game
I like how you put that. Must lose to get a better draft pick? They should have started losing when Kaprizov went out.

Zeev won't play tonight against Anaheim
@minnesota_knies218 Having failed to clinch a playoff berth with one game remaining & Spugeon + Middleton likely back in the lineup tonight, not terribly surprising.
Guerin is just never going to figure it out.
You're probably right. He has his favorites and its ride or die.Guerin is just never going to figure it out.
Like the MN fan who loses his ass betting on his home team.

I understand... I just don't agree with it.
