He still could have ran that play, and if not successful, ran another play...had he spiked the ball.

Even with the correction this is an amazing stat that goes to show how difficult it is not only find a SB-worthy QB but to put a winning team around him:

I will say being on pace for a -34 TO ratio isn't a recipe for success.
I think they need to blow it up and start over - the big question is if Kwesi is the right guy to spearhead a rebuild.

not sure if I understand the stat still
Vikings get picked off on the 1 and allow a 99 yard pick 6. 4th turnover in the redzone in 4 games.
down 10-7 currently
Would not surprise me if they go 0-17 this season this team is terrible
Aloha!
I honestly hope the season ends with JJ and Hockenson leading their positions in receiving yards, Kirk leading passing yards, and ending up 1-16 or 0-17.
Didn’t we sign this amazing guard a few weeks ago? Why is he not on the field?
I’m starting to think my 6-11 prediction was optimistic

If he was amazing he wouldn't have been a free agent in mid-September.
That would surprise me. Because they'll be in position to get the #1 draft pick, and screw it up by winning a game at the end of the year that they shouldn't.Would not surprise me if they go 0-17 this season this team is terrible
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

A weird one. The Vikings haven't lost a Week 5 game at home in 24 years. 2022: def. CHI 2021: def. DET 2016: def. HOU 2012: def. TEN 2011: def. ARI 2006: def. DET 2001: def. DET 1999: loss CHI

I've been searching all over for a real explanation as to why the Metellus interception was called a Kelce catch when he didn't have control of the ball and Metellus ripped it out of his hands.
From what I've seen: If that play happens and Metellus rips it but it hits the ground it's called incomplete because Kelce didn't maintain control of the ball to the ground but because Metellus ripped it and held on to it they call Kelce down by contact. A few plays later he scores a TD to make it a two score game.
That's about as god-awful a rule as there can possibly be if that's actually why they called it a catch and not an interception.
Jefferson leaves the game with a hamstring injury. And then Vikings go for it on 4th, flag thrown in endzone and picked up. Why wasn’t The guy flagged for taking his helmet off ?
Addison being held all the way down the field, ref throws the flag for the blatant penalty then apparently remembers its KC so they pick up the flag. CB for KC rips his helmet off to scream at the ref and rather than throw the flag for that automatic penalty they politely ask him to put his helmet back on.
Laughably bad.

Section 3, Article 1 of the 2023 NFL rulebook
(h) Removal of his helmet by a player in the field of play or the end zone during a celebration or demonstration, or during a confrontation with a game official or any other player.
Penalty: (for (a) through (h)): Loss of 15 yards from the succeeding spot or whatever spot the Referee, after consulting with the crew, deems equitable. If the foul is by the defense, it is also an automatic first down.
It is literally written in black and white in the rulebook. He took his helmet off in the field of play to argue with an official about the flag. You can clearly see the official tell him to put his helmet back on.
What part of that is "over the top"?
The part where you claim that he ripped off his helmet to scream at the refs. None of that is even close to what happened.Even Paul Allen thinks your takes are over the top.Addison being held all the way down the field, ref throws the flag for the blatant penalty then apparently remembers its KC so they pick up the flag. It should have been a penalty, but it was also meaningless at that point.
Those missed calls aren't the reasons we lost. Oliver fumbling on the first play of the game, something like 9 dropped passes, and allowing a 3rd and 18 conversion (and allowing 9/15 3rd down conversions in total) are.
But that at least gives the Vikings a chance to tie it and see what happens.
The neighbors’s Vikings flag is headed back to half mast. At least I seen it at full mast and all its glory for a full week.

Ok sorry, "Gently removed his helmet to scream at the refs" is that better? He literally got his helmet off and yelled "HOW" at the refs.

I'm surprised he's not flying it upside down.

I watched the game on delay last night... made it to part way in the 3rd quarter and had to shut if off. Between Jon Gruden and Jim Nantz... its a wonder any team bothers to show up and play the Chiefs. I mean they are the best team in the history of the league. Pat Mahomes is the best player to ever look at a football, and Travis Kelce is beyond compare. Both of them are probably better at other pro sports than the people who actually play them with they way Jim and Jon were talking about them. You had the numerous Taylor Swift references, and then between the 2 of them trying to see who could finish each other off first over Travis Kelce 'shockingly' returning to play... zOMG!!! A football player came back after missing a few plays, he must be the toughest human being ever to have lived.
The way the salivated over everything the Chiefs did was nauseating. The Vikings aren't all that good, beating them by one score isn't that impressive. I just couldn't take the fan-boyism after a certain point, even with a Waconia Peanut Butter Porter in hand.
But I guess if you want to crown their @$$es, then go ahead and crown them!! RIP Denny.
To be fair, even Chiefs fans I know thought Kelce was done, and it looked that way for a bit, at least for yesterday's game. Reid was even holding him back a bit.

Romo was over the top on Pholmes, it was gross. All receivers are dependent on a good QB but Kelce is a great WR that the also great Andy Reid disguises as a TE. That trio will win another SB but not this year.

Hey, lock in that top 10 (or better) 2024 draft pick.
Drake Maye here we come.
They have to be at least considering trading Cousins, right?

No trade clause. However, FA at season's end. Read into that what you want to read.

I would think the opportunity of going to a team like the Jets would be attractive to Cousins but they kinda gave up a lot of picks to get the last guy.
Just got an email from vending at USB. There is already talk of the Vikings/Bears game on Monday Nov. 27th being flexed. Never been a fan of flexed games. Especially flexing days. Times I can live with, just not a fan.

I have a friend that works the suites for the games. I think she'd like that flex, as she's in education for her main job.

From what I've seen this year I'd rather have JJ McCarthy than Drake Maye so far ?♂️

Theres going to be plenty of debate of who is the next best QB this year behind Caleb Williams. Penix, Bo Nix, Cam Ward, McCarthy. I may have even missed one. All I know is if the Vikings end up taking one, it’ll be the worst of the bunch. That’s just the way they roll.
Both Nix and Penix looked very good today.Drake Maye here we come.

I’m 40 and I swear Nix was playing when I was still in college.
Vikings offense is a pathetic joke
Aloha!
Cousins got scared, threw the ball away, and the refs bail him out.
Vikings offense obviously aren’t getting the message about turnovers as that was one of the dumber ones I’ve ever seen but the refs bail them out by screwing up the recovery call.
Cousins sucks as usual and will not agree to be traded
Aloha!
These 2 teams are so bad
Aloha!
The Vikings offense makes catching the ball look really hard
The tanking to lose this one is a bit obvious.
Edit: Murphy missed the memo. Ugh.
