So the Steelers got a 3rd rounder for Pickett but only gave up a 6th rounder for Fields…they’re playing Madden on franchise mode
It could end up a 4th...if he plays 51% of snaps. He won't unless something catastrophic happens.
Wow the Bears must have had no one offer anything they gave away Fields for a bag of balls and a pile on. 🤣
Saw a tweet today that the Steelers have traded with the Bears twice and turned Chase Claypool and a 6th round pick into Joey Porter Jr. and Justin Fields

I wouldn't be surprised if Russ gets benched by week 5 tbh.
Me either but I don't think they will let Fields play unless the season is dead. JMHO.
Keep your stick on the ice...
I mean...they aren't wrong. Even better that it probably ticked off those fans unironically!

This guy is a first class bonehead. Not only endangering the public (and himself) 2 consecutive offseasons, but he's also well on his way to becoming one of the 70% of NFL'ers who go broke after their career. Last year it was a Lamborghini. Now a Rolls Royce?
I'd love to see one of these young athletes just drive a 2018 Ford Explorer or something.
As much as athletes have an influence on kids and young adults this isn’t helping any parent. I mean shit happens to everyone but Addison and cars just don’t mix apparently. That’s dissapointing.

That's what I love about The Gronk. We all make fun of him (heck, HE makes fun of him) but he reportedly didn't spend a dollar of his salary. He spent his endorsement money on the fancy stuff.

Because they also don't face any real consequences. Did he lose his license for 6 months after driving 100mph, like any of the rest of us would have? I really, really, REALLY doubt it. Because I am nearly certain we would've seen jokes about teammates or coaches having to take him to practice/games. Expensive lawyers, and being a celebrity get you out of a lot of situations.
From the MN Statutes:
169.14 SPEED LIMITS, ZONES; RADAR.
Subdivision 1.Duty to drive with due care
No person shall drive a vehicle on a highway at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent under the conditions. Every driver is responsible for becoming and remaining aware of the actual and potential hazards then existing on the highway and must use due care in operating a vehicle. In every event speed shall be so restricted as may be necessary to avoid colliding with any person, vehicle or other conveyance on or entering the highway in compliance with legal requirements and the duty of all persons to use due care.
Subd. 1a.License revocation for extreme speed
The driver's license of a person who violates any speed limit established in this section, by driving in excess of 100 miles per hour, is revoked for six months under section171.17, or for a longer minimum period of time applicable under section169A.53,169A.54, or171.174.

This is spot on. Was thinking the exact same thing. He should meet Antoine Walker.

Or Keon Coleman (R) for the Bills this year. Loving this kid. Seems to have the right attitude about things from the clips that have been released so far...

The one bright side to Addison is that he doesn’t seem like a distraction on the field. IIRC he didn’t have any issues last year during the season or any sideline drama. Off the field stuff is distracting with him and his character is sketchy, I hate to see this Viking player turn into a side show circus because he’s good and we need him.

Not that we know of. But what are the odds this continues? If you party like Axel Rose, it'll eventually bleed into every part of your life. Let's just hope it's alcohol and/or marijuana and not more.
@bertogliat Right, and it’s sounding like a suspension is coming so that does affect the team on the field and probably not doing anything for locker room chemistry. Just a bad deal all around for everyone. Hate to see this talent and draft pick go down the toilet.
Vikings should trade Addison for Aiyuk

Huh? Let's just hope it's alcohol? Tell me what's ended more careers, marriages, and lives than alcohol?
. Alcohol is more prevalent so by numbers…alcohol. But the hard drugs are more likely to be a quick end to the career. The one bright side to Addison is that he doesn’t seem like a distraction on the field. Since he was found asleep at the wheel I would guess alcohol or opiates or possibly weed, but I haven’t heard of any breathalyzer results so I am concerned he may have been impaired by a banned substance.
He didn't fall asleep at the wheel from weed. He got a DUI and alcohol would be more than enough to do the trick.

Party at Tommy Kramer's house. 👍
McCarthy torn meniscus.

Can't make it up. Depressing.
As if things couldn’t get worse, Jordan Addison just got carted off of the field in practice.
It's not exactly a shoulder shrug, either. No one can assume that he will be perfectly fine on the other end of the surgery, and he will miss an opportunity to play and compete for the job. It does suck, and it is depressing--especially for him!
Aloha!
And now apparently this list isn't even fully updated.
remember when Chad Greenway blew out his knee in preseason rookie year and he did alright for himself
I had this very conversation with a coworker who was on the ledge.
I am the official Iowa Hawkeye football fan of GPL!
Per Mike Florio on KFAN this morning, go 100% fix now, miss the season, or do a quick-fix repair, and risk long term...remember when Chad Greenway blew out his knee in preseason rookie year and he did alright for himself

The team has no business thinking they're making the playoffs, and while you hate that he won't have the chance to get real time reps in they should not push him coming back.
We've seen players recover ahead of schedules and if that happens great, but don't force a square peg into a round hole.
"Why not?"

If the Bears do half of what is expected of them, this will be the toughest division in the NFL. Not saying the BEST. The toughest. NFC Black And Blue Division could be back, in modern form. 3ish games separating everyone. On paper, tell me I'm wrong (easy part) and then back it up (hard part). 😉

I think the AFC North is the toughest. Three teams last year in the playoffs with the fourth being probably better this year. Lamar got a couple extra offensive weapons and was already #1 seed last year. Bengals should be a contender if Burrow can stay healthy. Steelers should be better this year. QB situation isn't great, but still better than last year lol. And the Browns defense is crazy good with an adequate offense.

This guy looks familiar. 😊
Sam Darnold is dealing!!!
10 of 10 for 136 yards, 1 TD Pass, 2 Touchdown Drives including a 99 yard TD drive.
Halftime
Vikings - 14
Montreal Canadiens - 3
The NYG uniforms should have remained a concept.

Fun game so far! I’m not sure what the Giants are thinking at times.
