Between his slider, fastball, and change-up, he has almost 3 feet of horizontal break on his pitches ???

I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.

Aloha!
Twins have traded Mitch Garver to the Rangers for SS Isiah Kiner-Falefa and RHP Ronny Henriquez.
Kiner-Falefa will be the starting SS. Not sure of details on the pitcher. I get the sense he was a throw in.

Ronny Henriquez is the pitcher. 21 year old pitcher, threw 93 innings in minors between A and AA last season and struck out 105 hitters.
In his minot league career he has a 3.85 ERA with 233 IP and 283 Ks.
Here is quote I found on the pitcher acquired in the deal.
Henriquez was added to the Rangers' 40-man roster earlier this offseason to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft and will slot in as one of the more intriguing pitching prospects in the Twins' system. The 21-year-old righty recorded a solid 4.71 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 105/25 K/BB ratio across 93 2/3 innings between High-A Hickory and Double-A Frisco last year.
Interesting move. Petty was last year's first round pick.
Gray has two years left of team control and has been a very reliable starter throughout his career.
Twins great Isaiah Kiner-Falefa and Josh Donaldson are apparently about to be traded to the Yankees.
Edit: For Gary Sanchez and Gio Urshela, it sounds like.
Shuckin' and jivin'. It'll be interesting to see how this all pans out.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Sounds like they may be moving Sanchez shortly too.
I'm having trouble following all of this now. Who's going to play SS now and does this mean they think Miranda is ready for the big club? Are they thinking about possibly trying to free up Donaldson's salary for some big pitching splash somehow?
Trevor Story is the rumor. Guess we see if it happens.
Now sources are saying they will keep Sanchez.
Trevor Story would be an amazing signing.
Yankees Twitter bummed about losing Urshela it seems.

He was very good for them.
Lots of Trevor Story steam.
I wonder if Donaldson and Cole will be roommates on Yankee road trips?
Dumping salary (Donaldson) that's a Pohlad pocket protector tradition?
Oh there’s definitely a ceiling they are maneuvering to create space under, they just won’t admit it.
Or they are cutting some money to actually make a big splash on a signing?
Ok, I could barely type that with a straight face.

Breaking down the fascinating Yankees-Twins trade

Let’s see…. Twins are at 3:00. 2 hour game, 1 hour flight—Hey—maybe I can make it!
Hot start for the twins in spring training….
We are luring other teams into a false sense of security.

Unexpected (all the steam was around Trevor Story) but huuuuuge get. He was probably the top free agent in this class.
The first two picks in the 2012 draft are now teammates.
I will be contacting the Twins imminently about a garbage can banging position.
Correa's contract gives him the 4th highest AAV in MLB. Behind only Scherzer (Mets), Cole (Yankees), and Trout (LA Angels).
Common with Rosen becomes must-listen radio on Monday.
Can he pitch?

Basically this is 3 one year deals then.
Can he pitch?
Yeah, I love that the Twins are spending money but I think I would have rather had them just keep Kiner-Falefa and spend the Correa money on pitching.
Hm..I wonder what they might they do with Lewis now.

Yeah…super good deal for the Twins. Why did CC agree to this? Couldn’t he have easily gotten something like 5 year 150 million?
Veteran reliever Joe Smith signs. Getting up there in age, but still pretty effective. Should munch up to 50 innings.

I tweeted earlier that this seems like someone putting racing slicks on a car with a 4 cylinder engine.
It doesn’t make sense.
I do think they are still trying to make a move for another starting pitcher.

Player option? To me that's basically a one year deal then knowing the Twins.
But hey at least they're doing something
Hm..I wonder what they might they do with Lewis now.
Unless Correia gets hurt, it's really only a one year deal.
He's the 4th highest AAV contract in MLB this season and will continue to be paid 35 million+ for each of the next two years if he wants it. If he plays out the duration, great. He'll still only be 30 with plenty of years left to cash in on a big contract. The luxury tax threshold should go up each year based on the new CBA meaning a new contract in 2-3 years could theoretically pay more (unless the owners continue to intentionally suppress salaries).
If he leaves early, whatever. The Twins top two offensive prospects are both shortstops. He fills a huge need for this team and makes this lineup ridiculously strong offensively and defensively.
There are still a lot of rumors swirling that the Twins may make a deal with Oakland for Manaea or Montas (or both?) Which would make the rotation very interesting.

He switched agents this year, so his old agency was entitled to the commission on this contract, but his new agent gets the commission on his next contract.

Sounds like one and done if that’s the case.
