B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Always love teams getting to state for the first time. Everyone in the community wants to come and packs the X. Teams that go often don’t show up until maybe Friday and Saturday.
1) LVS 2)Shakopee 3)STA 4) Stillwater (transfer goalie Conway steals it) 5) Rogers 6)Edina 7) Andover or Rock Ridge 8) MoorheadThanks @gator for the love. We will see.Class AA Sections predictions:

time to make some changes. The sections tournaments have seen changes over the years no reason this one needs special treatment. Stillwater, St. Thomas are examples of schools just as close to Rochester as Lakeville.
It's so sad when you look at how stacked other sections are. This is just a cake walk for South, and the are slightly better than average. Playing North in the final was a joke. There are a bad team.
Here's to a Shakopee/Rogers championship game.
Similar to the Andover/Maple Grove from a couple of years ago.

Andover has now advanced to Xcel 5 of the last 6 years. The demise of Duluth East caused partially by open enroll’s now going to Hermantown as opposed to DE has contributed to this, plus Hermantown refusing to man up (like STA eventually did) when they earned some respect by opting up! Andover AA Bantams & AA PeeWees are on par with Hermantown AA Bantams & AA PeeWees too. A school fielding competitive AA Bantam & AA PeeWees teams (that regularly make MAHA State) that then chooses to stay in Single A in HS simply because they technically can…is literally an embarrassing JOKE when it comes to sportsmanship!Andover wins 7AA...

Correct.
Always loved the Hounds jerseys from DE. I hope they can turn around that program and get back to relevance. The 2x OT game vs Eden Prairie in 2011 was one of the most enjoyable HS games I have ever watched. Fantastic drama and capped off with an incredible goal from Kyle Rau. The X was buzzin' that night.

This tourney is shaping up to be a very deep one and could produce very competitive games Friday night and Saturday. Seems like the Semis have been down the last few years because there were two strong teams that stood out obviously above the rest.
2017 was the last time that both semis on Friday provided two games that came down to the wire.
Moorhead over Lakeville So
Grand Rapids over Eden Prairie
Here is a rough idea how how the seedings will look. A lot of parity 1-4 for sure and even 1-5. All of those teams could make some noise. Shakopee is one step behind that group but certainly has the ability to compete against a 3 seed and pull something off.
The third tier barring a miracle for them, probably won't produce competitive games.
1. Moorhead
2. Hill Murray or Stillwater
3. St. Thomas or Cretin (if Cretin wins 4 & 5 move up a notch and Cretin gets the 5)
4. Edina
5. Rogers
---------------------------
6. Shakopee
---------------------------
7. Lakeville South
8. Andover
Its looks like a very balanced tourney. The coaches will have a challenge seeding the tournament. Even in sections, the coaches have a challenge. So it’s not shocking surprise when a #3 or even a #4 seed win the section.

Just wondering when the last time a team making its first appearance or first in a very long time didn’t get absolutely embarrassed in the quarterfinals. I’m all for seeing different schools getting in but they’re just over matched so often. Section 1 pretty much a guaranteed underdog.
Is there a way to stream HM-Stillwater game? And if so, besides where, I ask when?
True, but in this particular case 1st time teams Rogers & Shakopee are pretty darn good.Just wondering when the last time a team making its first appearance or first in a very long time didn’t get absolutely embarrassed in the quarterfinals. @bearpaw28 Agree, I usually always root for the underdog to if nothing else, put up a good fight and hope they’re not overwhelmed just because it’s a lot more fun to see those players having fun on the bench in those games. Best tournament on the planet.

It’s the only the 6th time in 51 years of the Hill/WBL Region/Sec. someone besides Hill or WBL wins the Region/Sec.
Hill - 33
WBL - 12
Stillwater - 3 (2014, 2016 & 2025)
Centennial - 1 (2004)
North St. Paul - 1 (1981)

I think you have Stillwater too low. They were #3 in the last Let’s Play Hockey poll before sections. I think Edina will get a bit of a bump, even though it’s “down” year for them.
1) Moorhead
2) Stillwater
3) STA
4) Edina
5) Rogers
6) Shakopee
7) Andover
8) Lakeville South
Hill had a goalmouth shot that could have ended it and Stillwater scores on the ensuing rush.https://twitter.com/NSPNminnesota/status/1895686072333713895

Shakopee won't be behind Andover (12-13 during the regular season) and I wouldn't be shocked to see them get a Top 5.
This looks about right. Stillwater beat STA. While STA beat Edina twice (earlier in the year). And Rogers beat Shakopee when they played. Would be FUN to see Andover play Stillwater, whose goalie (that just beat WBL & HM) was Andover’s #1 goalie last season.1) Moorhead
2) Stillwater
3) STA
4) Edina
5) Rogers
6) Shakopee
7) Andover
8) Lakeville South
Whats the story with the goalie transferring from Andover to Stillwater. Not neighboring schools or a short drive. It’s a good 45 minutes between the 2 schools

Yeah… it’s why I put ?!?!?!. I knew it’s not what it’ll likely be. It’s how I would seed them. @team2tank probably has it correct. This Tourney looks to be one of the most wide open tourneys in awhile. Lakeville South might be the only dark horse of the Tourney.

Shakopee is locked at 6. There is no case to be made for them being higher than the 5 listed above them. And they clearly aren’t dropping below Lakeville S or Andover.
There is a case for Rogers to be 4 and Edina to be 5. Rogers had some signature top 10 wins. This one could go either way. Pretty sure the top 3 are a lock.
1) Moorhead
2) Stillwater
3) STA
4) Edina
5) Rogers

Andover and Lakeville could also flip but won’t really matter.
