According to Starman... 40 NHL draftees in the game today.

B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

Over the past 15 years/tournaments (2010-2024)

USA - 5 Golds

Canada - 5 Golds

Finland - 3 Golds

Sweden - 1 Gold (2012)

Russia - 1 Gold (2011)

For the 12th year in a row the US, Canada, or Finland has won.

Man, Johansson is a clown.

His sissy punches was good entertainment, though.

I guess when you lose in front of your home fans, you have nothing left but to goon it up.

Lucky for the US team and its fans that they aren't playing in Sweden's version of Oakland...as if there is one. 😊

Sweden looked unbeatable to start the tournament, but their goaltending was a little leaky today, and that gave the US an early advantage.

It was most definitely a TEAM, not just a group of players put together.

I didn’t want to start a new thread, but the US women are in OT against Canada. Canada going on the PP for a too many players penalty in the U.S.

Women’s IIHF.

Canada fails to score on a breakaway and a 2 on 1 ahead of the PP.

And the Sunday beat keeps rolling. Canada wins 6-5 on a PP goal to take gold.
