No, I’ve always assumed she was being redshirted. With two returning and Oden still listed as a defensive player I thought I must be missing someone, but I think Franco was listed with the top six last weekend and that threw me off.
Vetter shutout streak ends at just over 260 minutes, third longest in program history.
Abbey Murphy has a lot of Pat the Rat in her.
This didn’t get mentioned here, but Grace Zumwinkle scored her 100th goal over the weekend. She is the sixth in program history. The others: Nadine Muzerall, Hannah Brandt, Amanda Kessel, Krissy Wendell and Natalie Darwitz.

Gracie Ostertag dressed but Oden remains on “D”. Team as close to full strength as they have been for a while.
The Gophers have moved into solo 1st place in the WCHA. ?
Gophers sweep St Thomas with a 4-1 win today. Heavily outshooting the Tommies 43-12 today.
Heise had 3 points.

Did we see Nelli Laitinen after the first period yesterday?
7-0 against a struggling Bemidji squad.

Made the trip up as the youngest son graduated from BSU this past spring and is working up here now.
What the hell, the BSU mascot is skating around (wasn’t here yesterday). He looks exactly like Goldy with a flat tail, but he’s named Bucky. Very wrong on many levels.
Many years ago at a BSU-UAH game, we had a whiteboard, and wrote "We know Goldy, and you sir, are no Goldy." Showed it to the mascot. 😀 Mascot had fun with that one.

Tougher game today but made it work partially due to maybe the best setup of the season…..

In the presence of one my favorite fan experiences in a long life of hanging out in rinks. A young lady, probably about 9 or 10, cheered on the Beavers nonstop and passionately. She was so fun to listen to, but my favorite was when BSU had some rare sustained pressure in the Gopher zone and was looking for a shot she cried out “don’t block it, don’t you dare block it”. The women’s game needs more like her.
Big weekend for the women up in Duluth. Go Gophs!
Big weekend for the women up in Duluth. Go Gophs!
Big weekend for both teams! Would LOVE to see a Gopher win paired with an Ohio State loss.
Bought tickets to tomorrow night's game. Should be a fun weekend. Been a few years since I have caught a game at Ridder.
Huge win by the Gophers women's team.

Great game and a great crowd.
Vetter was the difference tonight. Ohio State was pouring it on at the beginning of the third and she kept it out of the back of the net. Should be another battle tomorrow.
“It’s right up my alley,” said Murphy of the two-goal, two-penalty game versus a Buckeyes team that likes to play physical hockey. “It’s fun. I just try to stay out of the scruff and stuff, but it always seems to find me.”
I had missed this……..

She’s on the roster, wearing number 30.
Maybe I missed it but why isn’t Pahl playing anymore?
Gophers losing 2-1 after 1. Buckeyes outplaying them. Great crowd again.
Maybe I missed it but why isn’t Pahl playing anymore?
Don't know for sure but guessing she's transferring after Vetter fully beat her out.
The refs sure are letting them play today.
From now on, they should tell the camera person they can’t be drunk while they’re shooting the game!
Also, I guess, checking is not allowed in the women’s game unless it’s after the whistle.
"Checking" is a loosely defined term, from what I've seen in women's hockey over the years.
As far as the broadcast, I can't watch today's game, but the past few weeks, they've been on Fox9+ and while a bit shaky, it is a student-run production, from what I understand. I give a lot of leeway in that.

I’ll try to keep it to myself from now on
No worries, a LOT of people, including me, have questioned the camera talent, but then later found it was not a pro team working. It happens.

3539 attendance at tonight's game. Biggest crowd in Ridder history.

It seats 3,400. I'm surprised some of the Frozen Fours with the Gophers weren't bigger crowds.
Keep your stick on the ice...
Could be, but I was at the 2013 championship game (41-0-0) and the place was packed. Every seat full, and people lining the concourse.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Gophers were up 2-0 and now it's 3-2 BADgers. Complete meltdown in the 2nd period.

This is shaping up to be a really bad night of hockey.
It was 4-4.

5-7 final. Women swept (technically a tie and a loss).
Yikes.
I was at Ridder with my daughter's U15 team. Sorry, everybody.
5-7 final. Women swept (technically a tie and a loss).
Yikes.
Gal pals across the tunnel give up 4 straight goals after a 2-0 lead. Pretty shoddy defense.
Baaaaddd weekend for the Gopher hockey faithful and a baaaaddd taste in the mouths of the sellout crowd.
I watched both nights action on the tube. That was the first time I've seen this years group and I have to say the skating, play making, and overall skill is off the charts. That made it even more frustrating to be done in by some really awful defensive decisions.
Gopher d put on a clinic numerous times showing how to turn a 2 on 2 into a 2 on 1.
This team is a true enigma that can beat any team in the country but they got also can lose to any of the top five or six other teams they'll start facing here in the next 6 weeks.
I will say when it comes to be NCAA tournament time I sure hope we can avoid ending up having to play either Wisconsin or UMD in a potential quarter-final I'd much rather play one of the teams from the East.
I went to the game Saturday. Lots of entertainment, but not much defense.
Simply put, the Gophers defensively are not great. Lot of bad turnovers in the neutral zone. I would say nearly all of their talent is on the forward side of things. Hopefully the recruiting can change things going forward.
