No idea how highly thought of any of these young men are. I did find it interesting that Bryan Trottier’s grandson is a local. Learn something new every day.
Did Cole Eiserman commit?
I remember seeing that he was considering the Gophers, along with BU. A previous comment on another thread said he committed to BU, but I can’t seem to find any news or announcements confirming that.

As of July 26th he apparently had not committed anywhere and I couldn't find anything since. https://www.therinklive.com/mens-division-1/nchc/twenty-names-to-watch-when-college-hockeys-recruiting-season-opens

No he has not
A week or two I looked him up on Elite Prospects and they had a row for 2024-2025 with Boston University. But that has since been removed.
Has Logan Hensler committed yet?

Correct, kids can't commit till Aug 1st before their Jr year. It has nothing to do with their birth year.
Former NTDP goalie Dylan Silverstein withdrew from BC in the last week and I can't find that he's on a new team. I recall him being a pretty highly touted goalie prospect.

Elite Prospects had given him a C ranking. He was highly ranked but fell last year and went undrafted.

The Gophers are in his top 3, but he is most likely going to end up at Michigan.

A couple of Mn kids on the list.

With the atmosphere in the building this weekend it would be pretty hard NOT to land whoever this is
In the replies YHH said it was last weekend that the recruit visited and last weekend the U18s were in town, so maybe it was Carsen Musser? Idk just a guess.
Since there is not a thread for the USHL, or a good place to put this, I will pop it here. The Omaha team was fined 20k for flying the team home after the USHL showcase in Pittsburgh. The bus company that was supposed to bus them cancelled and the owner asked for permission to fly the team home instead and was denied. The USHL prohibits teams from flying anywhere.

@frozen4champs What were they supposed to do? Just set around in Pittsburgh? That's really dumb.

I agree. It was a one time emergency thing. The owners asked to do it to get the players back to Omaha for classes. Sometimes common sense is no longer an option.

Would be a forward to help fill out next year’s class looks like
Was gonna send that then I realized these kids are in Bantams so whatever. Then in the replies I literally saw Cole’s parents say the U is high on his list in response to some Gopher fan. You don’t see that very often.
College commitments are treated like FBI secrets every time I guess there’s no reason why they can’t be a little more open with it. Just rarely see that.

The top kids can be a little more open, but you don't have to go down the list very far before kids are getting 2/3 to half scholarship offers with deadlines to make a decision.

Musser follows Gophers and UMD on instagram…
Did I not see this tweet here previously? Anyway....
The Gophers with 5 current/future players, SCSU with 3 and St. Thomas on the board. Musser would be a heck of a get. Does Cheslock not being committed yet to SCSU mean he's in play? Also what's the outlook on the younger Nevers?

I personally don’t see that much out of Jackson Nevers. He’s bigger than Mason but I’ve watched him plenty and I don’t think he brings that much to play. Yet, plenty of sites (YHH, PuckPreps for example) have him ranked pretty high so there could be something I’m missing. He’ll be a junior this year so there’s still plenty of time for development. Tack on 2 years of juniors and he’s a good 4 years out from college.
Also I assume that if we offered him that’d be a pretty quick commitment so him being not committed yet means to me that we haven’t offered yet. But then again idk.

I’ve seen him a couple times, looked much better than Mason at the same age and much bigger and stronger. Can’t beat the bloodlines.

Wouldn’t mind filling out that 2nd line?
Blake Vanek with a goal in Stillwater’s season opener. Where is Sam Spehar playing this year? He’s not listed at Chaska. Mason Kraft also with an impressive outing, although he stays off the scoresheet he racks up a team leading 5 sog.

I thought the same thing earlier but given the choice Hensler should be the priority based on my prior viewings

Spehar appears to be spending the year with the Sioux Falls Power AAA program.

There have been two generations of Kvasnickas play for the baseball program. I’m curious how this young man fits in.

I’m not sure, but he is very good. He’s on the top line for Wayzata and doesn’t look out of place.
Wouldn’t ya know it Mason Kraft is off to a hot start to his high school career?
Small sample alert!!
I watched Wayzata and Hill Murray tonight and was VERY impressed with Wayzata Junior Rhys Wallin! Is he considered a D1 player? He’s big, crazy fast with good hands and head and even has some snarl to his game!

Idk about Wallin but I’m more focused on Wayzata goaltender Will Ingemann. Played for the USA U18 squad at the Hlinka Gretzky tournament this summer.
I ran into Pat O'Leary a few weeks ago and he said the Gophers were looking at a couple of Wayzata players and they were going to do a visit to the U. Of course, I don't remember the names he mentioned.

Wallin is definitely D1 for all the reasons you stated. Brittan Alstead is another junior who has lots of potential. Right now the real prize is Jacob Kvasnicka who is a freshman so a couple years out.
Ingemann is a great goalie but lacks size. He did well in a couple games in the NAHL in the fall. Wait and see how he does with a larger sample size in juniors.

I liked that Kvasnicka kid a lot too! He’s incredibly poised and clever…to go with everything else he has! He and the Moe kid from EP are both special players with very bright futures!

If Alex Bump has any interest in flipping his commitment and staying closer to home, Bob should seriously consider. A lot to like in his game.
Also, they have St. Louis listed at 5'10" and if he is that tall then I am at least 6'2"

I thought one of the reasons Bump chose Vermont is that they were going to allow him to come in right away because that is what he wanted. Then I noticed that he was playing in the USHL this year. His stats on offense appears to be good, but have not seen him play at all.
