It was tough to watch Michigan constantly taking runs at players this series. Now we have 3 more injured players. Not a good look for Michigan, Red’s teams never resorted to goonery!
Hey Bob...maybe give the guys a couple days off or you might need to hold open tryouts to field a team 😝
I normally don't advocate for defensive shells but in this game with all the injuries it was perfect. Plus it really frustrated Michigan which was awesome!
Oliver Moore not only assisted on the goal but saved at least 1 on the defensive end as well. Honestly he and Clark did all the little stuff.

Michigan Hockey - We can't beat them so we will injury them
The Gophers under Motzko are 18-10-4 (3-3 in the playoffs) against Michigan.
If there was a doubt which team is our current biggest rival we see regularly, the full minute of shouting sweep at their bench and the fans out for blood at Michigan running should answer that question
Ref’s are not having a great series. This game is teetering on getting really ugly and these guys are just playing a violin and watching while Rome burns.
They think their role is to make the game even, not call the rules.
the ref’s job is not to create parity in the game!

I’ve been a life-long Badger hater, but I have to say I was looking forward to this series more than any Badger series in years.
I respect Michigan for not playing the defensive style so many teams have moved to. It’s the best style of hockey to watch and seeing two top 10 teams go up and down the ice was such a nice change.
I love (LOVE!!) how comfortable this team is in close games.

Our roster has 14 forwards and 9 defense men but with 4 forwards hurt (Huglen, Pahlsson, Nevers and Falloon), Wood at the Canadian World Junior Camp, and Thomas hurt the Gophers next weekend will be down to 9 forwards and 8 defense men.
I suspect Begley and Rudd will be the 10th and 11th forwards with the 6 defensemen being Chesley, Rinzel, Koster, Luke Mitts, Gruba, and Whipple.
We will only be suiting up 17 skaters rather than the normal 19 unless the 3rd and 4th goalies (Weiss and Bryant) suit up as skaters.
It likely will be a 3 line weekend with
Ziemer, Clark, Snuggy
Kurth, Moore, Lamb
Hendrickson, J Mitts, Michel
with Begley and Rudd getting a few shifts at forward
Regardless if Hage had played this weekend, the way Minnesota just dominated the "number 6" team in the country, I find it hard to believe he would've made any considerable difference. Michigan was outclassed in every aspect this series.
Very impressed at the way Bob and the boys took care of business this weekend - they looked prepared and played great. Pair of shutouts against those hosers and aside from the injuries, pretty good weekend! Got home from a holiday party just in time to see the empty netter and Michigan resort to Nodak like behavior.
Do the coaches go through the handshake line or not? I thought yes but wasnt sure - bob stayed on the bench and narato took off (or i didnt see him on the bench - may e needed a starbucks for the road). Im not sure if they shook hands or not.

They shook hands, they showed it briefly on TV. Bob didn't look too happy...
