September, especially early September, feels like the calm before the storm. April we watched as what felt like half our team left and wrung our hands as we watched yet another older team go and win it all. May, June, and most of July we killed time with speculating lineups, future captains, and if Bob had lost his recruiting skills. August we were thankfully reminded that Motz, Killer, and Co. are all studs and excited the fan base with some future recruits from all around the state. We got the schedule and listened to Motzko at the state fair preview the season. Now, finally, class is back in session and hopefully we’ll soon see some early practice videos and hear who the captains are. Just over a month away from opening night.

I think this team will be very good this year! I like the tough first part of the schedule. This will battle test them for the BIG schedule. I'm looking forward to the drive up to Grand Forks this year. It's a perfect time of year for that drive, and hopefully to watch the Gophers sweep the whioux. Sweep at home and split on the road and they will be fine.
I say over 20 wins for sure not counting playoffs. I'm hoping a player will step up and maybe even be a Hobey finalist. Brody Lamb has a decent chance to be one of the top scorers this year.

not super surprising, glad to see it, hockey season’s almost here. Lamb’s development with the Gophs has been awesome to watch as a Rochester native myself. I think he’s definitely capable of contending for the Hobey this year. Much of his scoring in his sophomore year came with Snuggy or Moore on his line, then last year he took a huge step forward and created a lot of offense himself.
So, looks like 3 Cs and no As?
