Gophers have to interfere to get to the puck first. It's over if Bad gers score another.
Paging number 81, we need ya
Pitlick, Huglen, and whoever sticks with them is clearly the 2nd line at this point and the old guys are clearly the 3rd line. I'd expect point production to reflect that more and more.
Is it too much to ask to put the cameras back on the main level? Cameras in the press box is painful to watch and makes the glare from the lights super distracting.
Reminds me of the World arena in Colorado College. Always sucked to watch games at CC
Strobels hit was totally clean
Wtf are Fish and Strobel doing.
I don't see how this Strobel hit is a penalty.
Ok the elbow comes up after initial contact. Not sure I agree that its a 5 but the first contact was shoulder to shoulder and then the elbow comes up.
Everytime I think that I've seen the worst referees possible, NCAA hockey sends a bigger moron
Garbage call. Five on Fish for the missed knee on Tassy makes more sense.
How the ref didn't even react to the obvious Fish penalty was the most surprising.
Can't this color guy just tell it like it is sometimes?
No matter what his eyeballs see his vocabulary will dance around it for fifteen minutes!

You haven't experienced Clymer before?

Strobel was fine Finley had just shot the puck when he hit him and he was down on the ice cause his own player incidentally cross checked him in the head as a result. Fish….that was no bueno, don’t stick that keg out there bro.
That was not a penalty let alone a 5
Everytime I think that I've seen the worst referees possible, NCAA hockey sends a bigger moron
what was your problem there, they called it correctly
Even if the Strobel one was borderline you're down 2 in the third. Not the time.
Gophers got worked tonight. Let's see if they turn it up too little too late like Saturday when they also got worked.
Really not a great effort tonight whatsoever.
The five minute major should have been on Fish. Either way, irrelevant. Thoroughly outplayed tonight by a new and improved Badger squad.
Is it possible to put the obvious return of Bonin on ignore?
Would like to see the Gophers come out tomorrow night with a bit of piss and vinegar. Not only for how badly they played tonight, but for the constant gesturing toward the crowd from Badgers players. Just a bad overall game. They couldn't stay in the offensive zone for extended periods, missed a lot of shots, and there was a lot of badly played defense.
Something something out standing
They called a major penalty for contact to the head when there was zero contact to the headEverytime I think that I've seen the worst referees possible, NCAA hockey sends a bigger moron

Sorry you are correct that was bullshit. I was so sure they would call the major on Fish that I went to the bathroom when they looked at it, missed the announcement.
Poor called game. They missed a ton of Badger penalties. Terrible call on 27, just a hard hit is all. The Gophers need to play much better to come away with a split.
Time for a short memory. That game was garbage and hopefully their low point for the season. They just looked inferior all around.
Motzko on radio said the most the WI D sweat was in warmups. He’s right.
This far, Hastings > Motzko over the last 6+ years.
I’m choosing to believe this was some sort of anomaly and we won’t see it again
Strobels hit was a major, arms and elbows came up and the player didn’t see it coming. They will call that every single time. I wondered if it was payback for something but what a stupid penalty at that time in the game.
Physical game and gophers were stuck in their end and out worked. Hastings isn’t messin around. Rivalry is back with the badgers.
Clymer on the Nelson weak slash to the chest and subsequent acting job by Wisco: “this isn’t tennis”
kudos Ben, you’ve come a long way…

Nope.
Well we wanted the rivalry to be back and I guess we got it. I hope there were multiple trash cans kicked tonight and we better see not just a win but also a solid team game tomorrow. Figure it the f&@k out!!
Turns out the worst thing we could do was score 15 seconds in
It was so ridiculous that I was sitting here laughing at Clymer and co for reviewing the wrong hit. They called a major penalty for contact to the head when there was zero contact to the headEverytime I think that I've seen the worst referees possible, NCAA hockey sends a bigger moron

The fact than an official could look at that hit for 5 minutes and still think it should be a major penalty, is a scary level of incompetence.
I’m confident tBob will break down that tape and find an answer for Fri night
Yeah, well we disagree. Injury causing hit, but that’s just my opinion.
Anyone else see the online Wisconsin roster? There’s a $ you can click and do a cash donation using opendorse.com to a player. Minnesota doesn’t have that.
I guess they weren’t as bad as the Wild tonight? Yea?

I was so confident that they would call Fish for sticking his knee out and not Strobel for the obvious non penalty that I didn't even pause it.

The reason the WI player was down was that Strobels contact turned him into his own player who essentially cross checked him in the head. Maybe go back and watch it.
What part of Strobel makes contact with the Wisco players head?Yeah, well we disagree. Injury causing hit, but that’s just my opinion.

I stayed awake at the game. That’s the highlight for me.
Or maybe not.

Absolutely ?
@j22 left forearm. His arms came up and his elbow was higher than his head after the hit.
Look at the top view if you don’t see it.
Or the view from behind the goal.
@ex_goldy zero contact to the head from Stroebel, not sure if you have a secret angle? Sure his elbow came up after contact but never made contact. Can I have some of whatever you and the refs were having tonight?
??…”um, yes? Logan Cooley? Mind swinging back through for one more season?”
