Alaska is 4-6-2. Their wins are over Notre Dame, UAA, Clarkson and Union.

4th of 4 trap series in November
@maroon_and_gold Maybe but this Alaska team is bad by Alaska standards? Correct?

Agree. In recent years they’ve been feisty and a tough out (should’ve made the tourney in 2023) but this year’s team is plain bad. Should be two wins by 2-3 goals each game.
Yeah this Fairbanks team is not the almost made the tournament team that we've seen in recent history.
Probably because Sorenson isn’t there anymore! 😃
Any word on Lamb's status?
From Bob's radio show--
They think no ligament damage on Lamb. Could play this week.. ( Great news )
Thomas should play this week.
Bob talked about going with Airey both games at Notre Dame.
Said the PP is better this year because they are spreading the puck around and not just letting Snuggy take 1 timers.
Alaska is 4-1-2 in their last 7. Have played all their games on the road since their home opener.

Which sort of makes it the definition of a trap game I would think. Glad to hear maybe the Lamb injury isn't as bad as it looked initially and that Thomas should be back. That would be great. Hopefully the boys worked on the PK and are ready to roll after Thanksgiving.
Lamb playing this weekend would be incredible. If there is any soreness, rest him and get him back up to speed for the big close to the first half. Not out of the woods yet but better than anyone could have dreamed.

Yep. Bob seems to always be on the side of caution and for him to be encouraged on Monday already is a great sign.

I agree with what people are saying about Lamb. Just rest him. We’ll be fine against Alaska. We need him in December.
Keep your stick on the ice...
If there's any question on Lamb, I do hope they sit him this weekend to give that knee time to full heal whatever did happen. If they're fully comfortable that he's healthy, then, sure, play him.
I'm not really worried about Bob and staff pushing too hard on this, just a general comment. We certainly shouldn't need Lamb in the lineup just for UAF (even with some of the other injuries out there) where he could be a difference maker in a week and a half.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
May have been worth trying last year at some point. Not only for the power play, but also for Jim's development. Great shot, but that can't be his only weapon at the next level. From Bob's radio show--

Lamb has been such a treat to watch slowly improve over his career. Thrilled for him that he avoided a major injury.
I see his trajectory as a productive NHL player. One of the guys that is dependable every night, and doesn’t have a big weakness.

Such great news on Lamber.. Agreed if put in the right situation who knows maybe he could score a little at the next level.

Great news about Lamb. When ND comes to Mn let’s hope for a legal hard hit on Janike, what a douche.
Not defending the hit but are we sure it was an intentional thing? I really hate to think any college player seriously looks to take another player out with a potentially season or career ending hit? Is ND a traditionally dirty team? I honestly am asking but I would hope these players have enough respect for each other (and often know each other from other situations) that they would never do that. I know how it looked. Just trying to give a kid (and they are kids) the benefit of the doubt that he reacted to a situation in the moment and it went really wrong. Maybe I am deluded.
Intentional attempt to injure? Maybe not. Intentional trying to trip in a dangerous manner to cause injury, 100%
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Sticking out your knee is reckless. I'm not saying he meant to injury Lamb but it is like driving reckless in your car you aren't intending to injury anybody but it is still your responsibility to not drive this way.
That was my take on it also. The punishment was justified but I just didn't agree with a lot of the 'intentional' chatter. All the previous comments are fair. You are responsible for where your body is and how it may impact other players. Thought the mob mentality on him being dirty or ND being a goon squad was a little over the top
People are making goon squad comments about Notre Dame because they have done goonish things quite a few times this season.
In an exhibition game against the under 18 team an incredibly dirty hit on LJ Mooney that injured him for a month and a half.
Against Alaska a 5 minute cross checking penalty and a game misconduct.
The knee hit on Lamb.
They are 11th in penalty minutes out of 64 teams.
If you don't want to be classified as a goon squad stop acting like goons.
weather it was intentional or not. by this stage of your hockey career you know what can happen to people when you stick your leg out like that.
Always incredible information from Gopher Game Notes. Whomever runs the account does a fantastic job.
Anyone got tickets for tomorrow they want to get ride of?
Lamb and Thomas are back

Wow. Lamb must’ve really come out unscathed to be back the very next week.
Tremendous news on Lamb! Scary play, glad he is going to be back. Hoping for a solid complete game, score first and play fast, crisp tape to tape passed and limit turnovers! Go Gophers!
Chat is going, of course.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Of course. Why stop the streak?

Nanooks score first. Looks like it was off a defenders stick. We have them right where we want them.
You could feel that coming after Snuggs somehow turned the puck over in his own end twice in 10 seconds
Are you serious Clark? What’s the score right now if you flip goalies? 2-0 MN?
That goal was not on Airey. It was severely deflected to the corner of the net by his own defender at the top of the crease. Hellebuyck wouldn’t stop that.
Would be nice to have a night where we would just demolish a team like this

Totally agree! The goal they have up tonight was pretty flukey. I was hoping to see more shots going to the net on the power play. The Gophs are getting their chances, sooner or later they are going to start going in.
I have two tickets I can no longer use but I’m not sure how to transfer them. They were given to me by Kelly Red. But my kid was added to a hockey tourney and I’m no longer free.
Not sure if I can transfer them to someone else.
I vote for sooner please.Would be nice to have a night where we would just demolish a team like this

Wow! They looked fast on that breakout!
Finally, Brody’s knee must be feeling good. Had the jets on there

I credit you for that goal.
