I feel like Snuggerud will take the leap to the pros after this season. However, it probably wouldn’t hurt him to stay another year. Keep working on his craft and learn more of that responsibility when he doesn’t have the puck.
I'd be exceedingly surprised if he's back. St Louis does have a tendency to slow play some of their guys and has a ton of cap space for next year, but they aren't exactly lighting it up scoring but are still not that far away from the playoffs (and again have a bunch of money to buy in the offseason). He'll be gone at end of season to try burn a year on his contract provided he's healthy.

Yeah, that’s the way it’s looking. He’s definitely a very talented player and I expect he’ll have a long NHL career. This year was always going to be tougher for him with Knies and Cooley leaving. But he will need to grow out of, and I’m sure he will, the up and down scoring streaks that we’ve seen this season and even a bit last year.

TBH, I don't know if that's a fair expectation outside of about 10 guys in the NHL (the echelon of McDavid, Pasta, Kuch, MacKinnon, Matthews, etc). Streaks in hockey are just a natural part of the sport. The bigger thing I'd say is he needs to find ways to contribute when he isn't scoring. That's the part to me he's missing right now.
My biggest complaint with Snuggerud is his neutral zone play. Careless turnovers too many times resulting in jumpstarting the other team.
Time for him to go on a scoring run.

It was in the email about the series that I got the other day. It's a tye die shirt. Not sure if they are the same the students got earlier this year.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
I suspect the HS tourney also puts a dent in attendance; it’s a tough choice for many.
4 million people in the Twin Cities 18k at the HS Tourney. I might not be good at math but I would think there are plenty of Hockey fans out of that 4 Million Please use that as a excuse but it should not be

Get Pitlick, Snuggerud and Brodzinski going! No better time than the playoffs!
Best lineup we have. Let’s go Gophers
Come out flying. Give them no life please
Good crowd tonight.
NOT.
🫤
Ski-U-Mah! Let's go boys!
RINZEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PSU to Rinzel for the one timer and Gophs up 1-0
Perfect feed by the PSU player.
Closer with An ugly one bailed out by an offside
Maybe. Ref goes back into the booth....
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
No goal, no info on the 2nd review.

Boo. Penn scores
That one counts, though.

Gopher PP was not threatening at all. Seemed to try too hard to get it to Snuggerud.
There is no rhyme or reason to our pp other than over force it to Snuggy and it’s just sad to watch at this point
Closer with An ugly one bailed out by an offside
Idk. That one looked like it was tipped last minute by the Penn State player.
So far it looks like the PP success last Friday was, unfortunately, an aberration. The opposite of what Bob wanted to see.

it’s so painful to watch. Just brutal
Our PP is poopoo
Watching their PP makes me wonder how they have 23% success.
Looks like the same apathetic play we saw in the first we’re still seeing in the second.
Nelly with an unreal pass to Snuggy for 2-1
Snuggy!!!!!!!
Playing on the Critcism Line with Nelson and Nevers.
And yes the lines are now blown up
Swapping Snuggy and Brodz worked out pretty quickly
Nelly with an unreal pass to Snuggy for 2-1
and apologies if it was nevers. far end of ice so harder to see numbers
Nelson nevers Snuggy almost score again
Shots in the 2nd period were Gophers 9-1.
Shots thru two periods Gophers 18-10.
When is the last time Penn State was held to one shot for a period?
Penn State has lead the country in shots on goal for 10 straight seasons including this season.
Penn State is averaging 38 shots on goal per game this season.

You are correct it was Nelson. Video of the pass/goal posted above if you want to see it again.
love being better than the refs. They announced nevers here so gave me some pause haha
Fish shot from the point tipped by Huglen!!!!!
The D is contributing more offense lately. Last week two goals from Luke Mitts. Tonight Rinzel goal and now this tipped point shot.
Huglen has 11 goals with 5 of them being in the last 6 games.
Great tip from Huglen. 3-1
Fish-magic!!!
Don't let up now! Keep the foot on the gas.
PITLICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pitlick on the rebound. That should do it
Penn power play
Coach switches up the lines in the middle of the 2nd period.
The Gophers score 3 goals over the next 20 minutes (middle of 2nd period to middle of the 3rd period).
Coach is a genius!!!! 😀
