Since I am seeing schedule talk in other threads, may as well create a new thread for the up coming season. We know dates for UND, UMD and DU (DU will not be fully set until the NHL schedule comes out)
Here are the Uof〽️ Schedule release dates from past years. There are a few years missing, but the trend has definitely moved from May/June to August.
Its going to be a difficult upcoming season with all the players Gophers lost to graduation or turning pro and the non conference teams they are playing the Fighting Whioux,Denver,UMD and B.C, and the conference games I just hope they have a winning record
BC plus UND in the first two weeks is about as tough as it comes. Should know a lot about the team early.
Perfectly stated. Feels like the best NC schedule in some time. Wish I was a bit more positive coming into the season but hoping I'm pleasantly surprised.
@neely hopefully this is Bob's last year but I do not think we will be so lucky.
did he not he sign a extension to his contract after 2023 season?
I'm pretty sure he's implying that he hopes Bob either retires or is fired after this season. (Given his previous posts on the matter, I'm guessing he would prefer the latter.)

Do like that we don’t start with BC as I was worried we would. Will miss game 2 with tech to head to London for the Vikings, so this is my only gripe. LIU is blah but with BC, UND and DU on the non conference schedule, you knew there would be some cupcakes in there as well

That's about as good of a non conference schedule as you're likely to ever see. Old WCHA rivals and BC. Does this mean we can expect a return trip to BC in the next year or two? I might be down for that road trip!
Has @the-rube seen the non-con schedule yet? Or did he pass out from excitement?!
I have solid recon that he's been sitting front row of the Basilica of St Mary praying for the announcement the Gophers will return the favor and travel to Houghton next year.
Anyone have an idea when single game tickets will go on sale? I moved out of state two years ago, but would love to come back for the BC series this October.

I am guessing it will not be until the full schedule comes out. Which will probably be at least late August.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I will certainly have four club tickets that I won't be able to use...
didn't know where to throw, but presale tix (general public comes out tomorrow) for DU game on sale starting at $37. Anyone else planning on heading down? 8pm cst puck drop

I just heard lower bowl tickets are $200??!! Are they charging NHL prices?

Not telling my wife how much I paid. I just said over $100 😉

sure appears so. just pulled them up
uppers: 68.50 at center, 53 in corners
middle: 112.8
lower: 262 at center ice, 203 in corners
wowza
That is a price I may be willing to pay for just me, if I were to go with my buddies. But I think I would pass on that price to go with my family. Shelling out $1000 for a college hockey game is ridiculous.

Same. May make it a fun guys trip but that price to bring kids would be rough
Cost aside, it will be a fun trip for a long weekend in Denver with friends. It will be a warmup for our yearly Frozen Four trips and we avoid the family Thanksgiving.

Not to rain on the sentiment, but NHL building prices is the guess. I kind of wonder if UST was just trying to break even when they played at Xcel.
Proceeds also go to the US Hockey Hall of Fame as well.
So can I write this trip off as a donation on my taxes? 😎
As far as you know..... 🤔

Do you recall the price you mentioned on the podcast, what it cost to rent the ‘X’ per day?
I remember it being close to $75-100k/day for the NCAA regionals which included days to prep the rink with logos for the event, hold a practice skate and there were additional expenses that have to be covered on top of that to run a game there. I heard NCHC got a discount on that for the term of their deal at Xcel.
"It will cost about $750,000 to rent the St. Paul arena for volleyball, wrestling and boys' and girls' hockey state tournaments next school year, according to the deal. By contract's end, the annual cost increases to about $877,000.... Xcel Energy Center is raising its facilities fee from $2 per ticket to $2.50 beginning next school year."

Ive been there once in about 2010 or 2011. It was the best road trip. We rented snow mobiles in the mountains and we went to a casino town not too far away. Denver itself was great with plenty of bars.

I have been to Denver a few times, great town. 16th St Mall has a bunch of hangouts, you can easily walk it, and Coors Field is just a hop, skip, and a jump from there.

Awesome year for season tickets. Ability to watch >10% of the 1st round picks in the last 2 and upcoming drafts combined, in the best barn in the nation.
